IMO improving the running game can be added to the list.

19th overall with only 5 rushing TDs isn't going to cut it for this offense.

I did consider making that an option in the poll but thought that bolstering the offensive line and/or improving our wide receiving threat would elicit some improvement in our running attack.

I still don't trust our line up at the offensive line, if they let Eric Fisher get away from them this team will continue to look for a tackle whether that be left or right , I like Fisher because it gives our insurance at the tackle position. It would be sickening to see him go else where and perform at a high level. Because I'm not so sure about Saffold being injury prone

How big of a need is outside linebacker? Isn't Rocky Mcintosh and Haggan both free agents? who's going to start on that side next year?

They both will be Free Agents. Fisher doesn't prioritize that position (SLB) considering how much we are in Nickel defense in some games. My hope is that we get a athletic WLB in the draft and move Dunbar to SLB. Make the defense faster and get a LB that can stick with backs and tight ends in the passing game.

I wonder if that is more his defensive philosophy or more based off default due to the fact we don't have a capable SLB.

Personally I believe OLB has to be addressed this offseason. Anytime your starting OLB (McIntosh) only has 36 tackles on the season( may have changed due to this past weekend) that's a problem.

None of these are our most important need.

We were dead last in the league in terms of the average yard line our offensive drives began on. That must be fixed immediately.

Out of those listed, it is clearly Craig Dahl being replaced.

I agree with the field position statement. But also penalties kill offensive drives and keep your defense on the field longer, Fisher stated that earlier this year on the Jeff Fisher Show. We need to get a good kick returner in the draft whether it be early (Austin or Patterson) or later in the draft.

False starts called back like 2-4 Tds. The redskins refs stole one from us too.

Well put. On a side note, it seems as though Austin is quickly becoming a forum favorite.

"What's the Rams' biggest need for 2013?"

The Rams were tied for the most sacks allowed with 52. If their two First Round Picks don't go to the Offensive Line, then they're not taking the problem very serious.

1. Offensive Guard.
2. Offensive Tackle
3. Safety.
4. Another Offensive Guard
5. A second RB since Jackson looks to be gone.

No. The Rams were tied for most defensive sacks with 52. We finished right in the middle of the NFL this year in terms of Sack% Allowed.

I was just about to interject, but looks like you have it covered.

We really need a tackle though, and a guard to some extent.

I like Patterson more than Austin at this point. Patterson has a lot of potential with his speed and size. Patterson went to a Junior College and it seemed to really change his work ethic and make him more mature. Only thing that concerns me about Austin is his weight and can he handle the punishment of NFL defenders.

Thanks for the correction as I got my numbers turned around. It's still good to add more quality offensive linemen. The Rams have too much invested in Bradford not to have a top five offensive line.
