Wow. Ralph Wilson has finally passed the torch (officially) to Russ Brandon. As the teams new president, Brandon will have full authority to do anything and everything connected to football operations. Buddy will remain at GM, but will eventually be stepping aside with Doug Whaley taking over.
A press conference is scheduled for noon today.

Wasn't he doing this before? I don't think anything has changed except for a public announcement of being in charged. Nix will probably stick around until the Fa and draft are over then Whaley moves in to the GM role and nix retires, which is fine by me. Nix did his part the only bad thing he did was pay Fitzgerald to early and to much, other then that I like what he has done with the players. This move also hurries the coaching process and not worrying if nix will stay or go. _________________

I don't know if this is good or bad? I guess it doesn't have much downside. _________________

If you guys remember correctly, in our coaching search that ended up with us hiring Gailey, there was alot of talk that the instability of our franchise was a reason why some coaches didn't want to come here. Signing a 10 year lease agreement, and having a clear cut person who is "calling the shots" makes us a little more attractive.
Supposedly there are alot of coaches that want this job, according to Howard Simon. This would be a complete 180 from our last coaching search (or at least the perception of it). _________________

GM Buddy Nix remains in charge.
That said, Russ sounds very full of himself. "Everything starts and stops with me." _________________ MY PS3 ID: Tyroz21

Good. I'm happy to have someone like that now in charge. _________________

I like the way he is taking control of the room. Time to put some action to the words now. _________________

I agree it can be a good thing. We now know who the leader is loud and clear. Everyone has a job that is clearcut.
I'm interested to hear from Buddy shortly. _________________ MY PS3 ID: Tyroz21

Apparently Brandon is interested in Whiz. So if i am remembering correctly Lovie Smith, Whiz, Marrone are scheduled to interview. Anyone else? _________________

They're going to interview alot of people. Along with Whiz, they'll speak to Grimm and Horton while they're out there. I'm sure that they'll interview a ton of guys before deciding. _________________
