Talked to my buddy last night and he said that while Mike Bidwill IS taking a big risk by not moving faster on Steve Keim, if David Caldwell gets the Jaguars job that risk will have payed off big time. His exact words "Steve's agent is driving Mike hard that if he doesn't meet their salary demands, Steve will land another job in a heart beat. If Jacksonville and San Diego don't offer him their jobs, his agent loses that leverage". |
so basically barring an upset Keim is gonna be the GM this is more just mike and keims agent playing chicken before the deal is finalized. |

That's what it sounds like. Thinking away from my source and focusing solely on the facts of what has transpired with this search, it's really the only logical explanation. If we weren't all in on Keim we'd be interviewing or trying to interview more than 1 other guy (Who was probably just a Rooney Ruler). _________________

Ya and im sure keim knows his best chance of success as a GM is here since all the overhead is already in place all he does is change his title on the office door oh and the extra zeros on his paychecks lol.... |

I think so but I obviously couldn't say for sure.
Albert Breer has reported that Keim has been running our head coach interviews. At this point, he has to be the guy. _________________

Per Jay Glazer and Adam Schefter, David Caldwell got the Jaguars job. _________________

Indianapolis' Tom Telesco just got the San Diego general manager job, per Schefter. Congrats to him.
His former co-worker Bruce Arians just might join him. _________________

Giants senior personnel analyst David Gettleman has been named the new GM in Carolina.
Certainly comes from a heckuva program draft wise. Panthers fans are certainly hoping that carries over. _________________

Giants director of scouting Marc Ross has eliminated himself from contention for the Jets GM job.
As Jay Glazer said this weekend, the Jets can't give this job away. _________________

Good stuff from Somers...
According to Profootballtalk.com, rumors ”are making the rounds” that Steve Keim is making $750,000 a year as the Cardinals new general manager. That would put him at the bottom of the pay scale for general managers, said PFT.
I’ve been told differently. According to a league source, Keim’s salary is around $1.3 million a year. I assume that would not be at the bottom of the NFL but I don’t have a list of GM salaries. That’s about what Rod Graves, Keim’s predeccesor, was making. _________________

Mike Florio has a serious issue with the Cardinals. Bashes them constantly. This goes back years, don't know why. _________________

Florio was a practice squad kicker in the 90's and Joe Bugel cut him. _________________
