This is a great example of stats not telling the whole story.

I am a big Weeden fan, but Luck is most certainly better.

We have a better roster than the Colts. Ya, Shurmur is a big reason for us sucking, but Weeden didn't help out much.

That team is going to the playoffs for the sole reason of Andrew Luck.

The eye test, it wins out.

You're right, Luck is a better talent. And stats don't tell the whole story. But Luck did not play well this year. Both the "eye test" AND the stats say that.

The sole reason (if there really is a "sole reason") they are going to the playoffs was that their defense was able to overcome Luck's 23 turnovers to give the offense a chance to overcome Luck's errors.

Luck may be great, but he played poorly this year.

Luck brought a 2-14 team to an 11-5 record and to the playoffs. Weeden brought a 4-12 team 1 more win. I don't see what else there is to discuss.

Luck didn't carry the team, the team carried Luck. If you don't believe that, then explain how they won 11 games when Luck had 23 turnovers and only 28 TDs.
