Whats up Bills fans, as you all know chan just got fired, and im expecting the rest of the staff gone as well, but I was wondering what your opinions are on the other main guys.
Most notably your OC, Modkins. How was he the entire year, did he do a good/bad job? I know he turned CJ into a great runningback and got great production out of him as well, but how is he overall and what do you think he will do next year as a job?
Thanks!! _________________

All Modkins is, is Gailey's eyes in the booth and a RBs coach. Nothing more. _________________

Modkins was an over paid RB coach with OCood in his title. He did a great job with both CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson. I wouldnt be surprised if some teams gave him looks as a real OC in the future. _________________

The rest of the staff were relieved of their duties along with Gailey. Modkins was the OC by title only, Gailey was running the offense and calling the plays. As far as the other coaches, OL coach Joe D'Alessandris seemed to do well. _________________

wow, sounds like he was overpaid with no say so at all in the offense, just with control over the runningbacks... _________________

Proof of Modkins' real value (Not that most of us didn't know already):
Per http://coachingsearch.com/coaching-search-ticker.html
"Dallas Cowboys: A source tells me the Cowboys have contacted former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins about the running backs in Dallas."
(EDIT) and for the Cuse fans here (same source):
Syracuse: Former Cleveland Browns defensive assistant Chuck Bullough will join Scott Shafer's staff as the defensive coordinator. _________________

Update on Modkins:
Detroit Lions: The team has announced that former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins has been hired as running backs coach, tight ends coach Tim Lappano will move to wide receivers and assistant offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn has been promoted to offensive line coach. _________________

haha! They can have him! They tried to get him last year and he wanted to come here, so now he's going to his 2nd choice. Not to mention Lee actually made Fitzy worse IMO so i can't wait to see what he does to sanchez or Mcelroy. _________________

Two threads with the same title is a bit confusing. The original post in this thread appears to be answered. I'll link this one to the newer thread. _________________
