I like Wiz as a OC, id even consider him in Minnesota. Though Musgrave probably is safe.

I actually wouldnt be surprised if Wiz gets one of the head coach openings, give him a QB he can do good things. I actually think the Bears would be a great fit.

Idiocy.

It's overwhelming. Fire the greatest coach in the team's history after three seasons trying to find a QB.

And it's not like we've been the joke of the league last three years, we went 8-8 last season.

To give everyone a perspective on how magnificent he has been for us in comparison to everyone else:

Ken Whisenhunt's Cardinals
Four seasons of .500 or better
Two division titles
4 Playoff victories

Cardinals from 1978-2006
Five seasons of .500 or better (includes 9 game strike season)
No division titles
1 Playoff victory

I'd easily take him to be the Giants next head coach after Tom Coughlin if he doesnt get a HC job this year and TC is gone next.

Because everyone else was awful, Whiz is amazing?

Ya....no.

100% agree.

Whiz took you from trash to mediocrity.

Yes...the Cards went to the SB in 2009 and almost won. But that was on the shoulders of three great players he inherited. He did implement an offense that worked well for them, but I dont think he was directly responsible.

Serious question....have the Cardinals drafted and developed a single quality offensive weapon under Whiz? I may just be missing it, but it seems like every offensive player that was ever consistently good were players that were there before Whiz arrived.

And this isnt just me hating on a former Steeler. I wanted Whiz to succeed, but a) I never wanted him with the Steelers, and b) I havent been really impressed with what he has done.

I always though Russ Grimm was trash too.

Hope the Cardinals get a truly good coach this time. The fans have suffered enough.

The team will interview Mike McCoy, Andy Reid and Ray Horton for the head coaching job, more names will be announced in the few day or so. McCoy will interview this weekend, Horton will interview sometime this week as well. No word on Reid.

Imagine if Manning would have went to Arizona. Team competes for the playoffs, Wiz is safe as coach.

Also, props to Manning for going to a division he knew there would be no competition. Laughing

Like Gene Smith, Rod Graves was propped up by fans as a top GM last offseason/this summer. He made some nice picks on defense, but overall he wasn't nearly as good as some Cards fans made him out to be.

This. Most people here hate him.

Ya, that's definitely not the feeling in the Cards forum. Thought he was a great contracts guy but it ended there.

Yea, I could see Whiz having short-term success with a team that already has the pieces to succeed.

The Cards would be stupid to let Ray Horton get away.

Think it's a smart decision. Whiz didn't get himself a QB after Kurt and they ignored the OL.

I honestly can not understand the logic of the Whisenhunt lovers on this board. The mans record for the last 3 years is 18 wins and 30 losses (2010- 5 wins 11 losses, 2011- 8wins 8 losses, 2012 - 5 wins 11 losses) You consider that a "good coach". If so...I hope he lands on your team...good luck with that.
