I think keeping Rex was a mistake. _________________

This is what I wanted to happen, get a new GM who knows how to build a team better. I don't think Rex is a bad coach, he just had no talent to work with this season. _________________

Rex doesn't help the situation at all, but Tannenbaum has failed miserably at his job. _________________

Glad they kept Rex. Nobody could succeed in that mess. _________________

Rex is a good coach, some Jets fans are just being stupid and wanting a massive overreaction (not necessarily on this site I should add). Tanny had to go but Rex can lead us to success, I think he's shown that. _________________

I hope this means Sanchez for another 16 weeks.
Please Rex, do it. I need my LOLS! _________________

| Glad they were able to keep Rex but Tanny definitely needed to go. I want to see how this plays out with a new GM in place and hopefully one that isn't inept when building the offensive side of the ball. |

2 of the reasons Tannenbaum was fired was because of the extension of Sanchez and trading for Tebow. _________________

Now Rex really does have to produce. Firing the GM and keeping the coach? He knows another season with less than a .500 will mean the new GM gets to bring in his own guy.
And he absolutely needs to move on from Sanchez. That guy has become a punchline now, to everyone. Just watching the 'highlights' of the Jets vs Bills game yesterday had me laughing at the poor chump.
Get Alex Smith, or even Matt Moore, and they're a big step towards having a competent offense. _________________

I don't envy the new GM's situation. Getting stuck with a HC you didn't hire, finding a new OC and DC, burdened with the Sanchez and Holmes guaranteed contracts, and Darrelle Revis' agent on line 1. _________________ 2012 Adopt-A-Patriot: Wes Welker

Rex has got his wish, now he's on notice.
Another season of ineptness will result on him being shown the door. Despite Sanchez's contract, they need to look at a new QB. _________________
