Billy Davis hired as DC for the Eagles, opinions?

We've just got the news that Davis will be our new DC for the forthcoming season. Obviously he was in that role with the Cards in 09-10.... just curious to see what your opinions are of him?

I know one Cards fan just posted in our thread that he wasn't very good here but I hoped some of you could give us a slight bit of hope?

I personally didn't really care for Billy Davis.

Rarely did anything seem disguised and teams seemed to beat our defense on a fairly regular basis.

He was undermatched most of the time and that included some pretty good talent.

When Davis took over in 2009, Adrian Wilson and Antrell Rolle were the two safeties, both making or having made Pro Bowls. DRC was our pro bowl CB. Karlos Dansby was a borderline pro bowl. Darnell had made a pro bowl while Calais Campbell was a future pro bowler.

Our defense ranked somewhere near the middle of the pack with Davis at the helm in 2009.

In 2010, after Warner retired, I believe we were either dead last or close to it. The pass defense, in particular, was the worst I've seen at the NFL level in sometime. Check out the 2010 WC playoff against Green Bay.

We all wanted him fire.
