Hello, and back again is the Cardinals Forum Playoff Pick-Em.

Final 2012 Rankings

This year the points system will be altered:

You are to pick the winner and the score.
Picking the winning team gets you 1 point.

Since last year nobody got a single score right, you don't have to get the exact score correctly, but must be the closest to it.

You can get 1 point for calling the correct score REGARDLESS OF WHICH TEAM WINS.

HOWEVER, in cases of ties such as if two people were both within 6 points of the correct score, the person who chose the winning team would get the extra point.

IN FIRST TWO ROUNDS:

You are permitted to choose one outcome as your "double down" by indicating a * beside it. This means whatever points you'd get would be doubled, INCLUDING the score if you were the closest to it.

So the maximum score you could get in either of the first two rounds would be 4x2+2=10.

IN CONFERENCE FINALS:

Since we have two matchups, the points from a win are raised to 1.5 and the same applies to the score. There are no double downs.

The maximum score you could get would be 3x2=6.

IN SUPER BOWL:

This is where the betting aspect of last year comes into play.

You have 3 chips to play for the following options:

Team to win=1 point payout
MVP=1.5 point payout
Score=2 point payout

You can put all your chips on one of the above if you so wish.

This would allow a player that is behind by 6 in the rankings to have a chance. Otherwise if someone is ahead by more than 6, they'd win the PickEm before the Super Bowl.
