If we win, we will play at Atlanta.
Did Christian Ballard get many snaps vs. the Packers last week? I think he has a bright future with this team. |
Not sure I could live with myself if I didn't get tickets to that. |
My sister lives in atlanta.
I'm getting too far ahead of myself. Lets just go beat GB and then talk about this.
and btw, I absolutely hate that this game is on Saturday. I have to work, and no one can cover for me. There will be TVs everywhere (cause I barback at a bar), but I'm usually so busy I don't even look at the TVs.
Is there anyway you can tape a game? Is that still possible? lol _________________

There are still people who use a VCR. I'm not one of them, but I know people who do.
Heck, I still have a VCR...and my Nintendo from 1985 too. _________________

My prediction:
If Vikings win, and go on to the super bowl....
Hollywood will make a movie about Adrian Peterson and how he recovered from his injury, getting 2nd all-time rushing, and leading an underdog team to the superbowl..

Oh, Subway. I'm glad I got out of that place when I did. lol
Barbacking is pretty much like doing all the side of at a bar.
You have a bartender. They make the drinks and serve customers at the bar.
You have a barserver. She's the same as any server, but she works at the bar
And Barbacks usually clean tables, get bear/wine/liquor for the bar, change kegs, take out trash, clean glasses, keep the bar clean, close up the bar etc.
Thats what I do. Its a lot of work, but it still pays well, even though I normally work until 3 in the morning.
I'm going to have a hard time restraining myself from going crazy at work. I'm gonna have to fight every urge to look at the TV.
Edit: BTW, you aren't the first one to call this guy Stevie Wonder! haha _________________

wow, I can't believe I forgot to say this:
Dating back to 1988, every other 4 years the Vikings have made the playoffs. (so 88,92,96,00,04,08,12)
Conspiracy?!?
I can't believe we did it, and I even said something about this in the NFL Gen in the offseason and it went completely unnoticed!
further: The Vikings open up the new stadium in 2016, just when we are set to be in the playoffs again.
I'm calling 2016 Minnesota Vikings Superbowl Champs right here, right now. Sig Quote it! _________________

That would be every 4 years. Not every other 4 years. _________________

Fun fact: In the past decade, the Green Bay Packers have won just 2 of their 6 playoff games at Lambeau Field. Both wins came against the Seattle Seahawks. Their losses came against the Atlanta Falcons, Minnesota Vikings, and New York Giants (x2). _________________

Greg Jennings agrees the outdoor home field advantage is minimal:
Wide receiver Greg Jennings said that he loves playing in front of the home crowd, but that he would always choose to play indoors over outdoors. Jennings, who was on the Packers team that won the Super Bowl as a Wild Card as well as two that lost to the Giants at home, also said that he felt going on the road raises the focus of the team beyond where it gets at home. Jennings knows the party line is to say only good things about playing at home, but he wasn’t willing to go that route.
Jennings: “No, no that’s a politically correct answer. I’m done with politically correct right now. I’m realistic.”

Jared Allen: “As vets, you sit back with a lot of young kids and watch from afar at first. But then these young cats kind of pull you in and the next thing you know you’re barking in the tunnel. They’ve got me singing songs I’ve never even heard of. It’s guys believing in their craft and believing that we have a chance to do it. Nobody gave up in here. And look where we’re at.”
“If you don’t have that inside of you, it doesn’t matter what a coach says, it doesn’t matter what a teammate says. Everybody on this team has good character. These guys in this locker room genuinely like football. They don’t like what football gives them. They’re here to win games and they are here to play hard. You see that raw emotion in guys. And that’s what makes it fun. I’ve played with a lot of talented people that didn’t have that drive. You see it all the time. But our guys in here have that drive. They want to be good. And that’s what makes it easy for guys to work hard. That’s what makes it easy as a veteran to say, ‘Hey we need to do this.’ And guys will respond.”
