Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie started the season saying changes would be made if improvement was not made. The changes have officially started. Lurie has fired Andy Reid, ending his 14 year stint on the team after Sunday's game against the Giants.
This is the beginning of what should be an major overhaul on the Eagles coaching staff. None of Andy Reid's coaches should feel safe, as most of them have a heavy connection with him.

I would like to start by thanking Andy Reid for all that he has done for the Eagles organization. By far the most successful coach in the team history.
But it was time for an change. Andy clearly had lost the team and it was time for him to go. He made many questionable decision during his time here from, drafting players, hiring bad assistant coaches, and play-calling.
Good luck to him.

The regression of this team after Johnson died was telling. Worse every year, terrible playcaller, and a guy who if he has personel control is pretty bad.
If he's the coach and Gabbert or Tebow is the QB, may God have mercy on your eyeballs.

Seems like yesterday every forum Eagles fans were buzzing with their Jedi Reid sigs and "Putting on a clinic" avatars right at the beginning of Dream Team. How fast they have fallen. Just goes to show you can't count your eggs before they hatch.

Pretty well said.
I have no doubt that he'll be somewhere else next year. Not sure as a HC or not but he'll find a team soon. I've always liked Reid but this was an expected move that had to be made. |

Yes when you join the rest of the perennial cellar dwellers picking in the top 5, I'd say something drastically went wrong.
