The Saints are on fire in this draft!!!
Now’s the time to finish strong… who’s the one player you would love to see the Saints walk away with on the final day?
My pick… Alex Okafor DE Texas
I’d love to see the Saints trade up into the 4th round to get Okafor. I’m not sure why he’s falling but I absolutely believe he can play in this scheme as an OLB and pass rushing DE. At Texas, Okafor was often moved all over the field and rushed from a 2 & 3 point stance. Okafor can set the edge in the run game and is a surprisingly gifted pass rusher despite not having elite physical tools. Reuniting Okafor with 1st round pick Kenny Vaccaro would be a major boost to this defense and give Ryan another unique underrated defensive tool at a great value price! _________________

Getting Okafor would be great, Chase Thomas would be very good as well.
But I can't see us trading up again, so in the 5th and 6th I'd like to get some corner depth of course a OLB. Potential players are:
Cornerback:
Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State - highest rated corner available
Tharold Simon, CB, LSU - depends on what the FO thinks about his arrest
Sanders Commings, CB, Georgia - big and physical corner, visted us IIRC
B.W. Webb, CB, William & Mary - not the typical RR corner, but I love him. Great senior bowl week, could become a good nickel corner to replace Greer in one or two years
Outside Linebacker:
Chase Thomas, OLB, Stanford - best OLB available, but only in a trade up
Cornelius Washington, OLB, Georgia - a lot of potential here, needs to improve his production
Jelani Jenkins, OLB, Florida - his size is not ideal, but would provide solid depth |

Would like to add another player:
WR Quinton Patton Louisiana Tech
Very surprised he is still there. Had him in the 2nd round and ahead of players like Wheaton, who has been very high on the Saints board.
If he slides to pick 10 in the 4th, I would like to trade Roman Harper to the Titans and maybe a pick and draft him there. Could also be a trade up scenario for Okafor, Thomas or a Corner! |

| Any high upside small school RTs available. That's who we usually have success finding late. Love Swope, C. Thomas, Q. Smith, T. Williams. |

Defense: Alex Okafor, Cornelius Washington, Jesse Williams (I know DL is pretty much set but I thought he would have been a second round pick), Sean Porter, Jordan Poyer, Brandon Jenkins, and Chase Thomas.
Offense: Quinton Pattton, Ryan Swope, Cobi Hamilton, Kenny Stills, Josh Boyce, Tyler Wilson, Ryan Nassib, Matt Barkley, Landry Jones, Collin Klein, and Chris Gragg. _________________ Isa Abdul-Quddus +hands = Darren Sharper 2.0 |

Ok there goes the possibility of a QB in round 5!
Good to see all those receivers still dropping. |
