I second this... Porter you beat me to this by about 20 minutes.
I've heard quite a few of my friends saying this will be a long and painful offseason...
It's all about perspective, my friends. It'll be a good offseason, IMO. We drafting top 15, cutting a bunch of dead weight ( ::cough cough::Will Smith, Sedrick Ellis, Malcolm Jenkins, Devery Henderson, Garrett Hartley, Zach Strief), Might get some decent trade offers for either Pierre Thomas or Chris Ivory, another year for Spags to implement his D...Oh and we get our coach back too. Think we have a really bright future. _________________
Major props to a fine American, Uncle Buck.

Stickies tend to get overlooked. If it's updated often, it shouldn't need to be a sticky.
This also doesn't need to replace any offseason threads we have. This forum isn't busy enough that each little event can't have it's own thread. The more threads, the merrier. Now I'm not saying we can't use this thread, we've just got to be careful that this promotes more discussion, rather than take away from it.
PS: You misspelled official. _________________

Will change it quickly...
You're right about the numbers of threads, but I'll try to have all news and moves listed in the first two posts to make it easier for everyone! |

Due to this list, both the Panthers and Chargers had a tougher schedule than the Saints. So that would give us pick number 13 instead of the 15th... |
Dear GOD, Please bless us with a FREAK NASTY pass rusher... Dat is all!!! _________________

What do you guys think we do at left and right tackle? Should we move Jenkins back to corner, and look for a legit FS? Does Harper remain the starter at SS? What ends up happening to Smth, Ellis, and Vilma? _________________

DE - Jordan; Beast!
NT - Bunkley; decent but not worth the money he's getting.
DT - Ellis; BUST!
RE - Smith; Past his prime
LB - Hawthorne; decent but should be better at WLB next season.
LB - Lofton; Tackling machine
LB - Vilma; Simply not worth the trouble anymore.
CB - Robinson; Ok corner but not a stud.
FS - Jenkins; Extremly overrated
SS - Harper; Coverage skills is worse than horrid
CB - Greer; Aging but still our best cover guy.
Only defenders i'm actually excited about are Lofton, Jordan, Hicks & Wilson _________________

Your not excited about Galette or White? I think of Galette don't get hurt mid way thru the season, he tied if not lead the team in sacks _________________

Just wannna pick up the first question. We're on the clock and Werner, Moore, Jones and both LSU DEs are already taken. Now at least one of the four first round OTs (Matthews, Lewan, Jockel, Fisher) is still available, would you pick him and draft a DE like Okafor in the second or maybe even trade up to get some one like Ansah/Jordan? |

I don't know enough about the top OT's at this point. If whoever's available isn't projected to play LT in the pros then I'd go with the best available DE. If there aren't any players worth the pick, possibly trade back. Take a project guy that slipped a little. Someone like Chandler Jones, and hopefully acquire a second round pick. _________________

| With all of the good Saints players coming by UDFA and mid to late round picks why even consider using our only pick in the first two rounds on offense? Either trade back or select BPA on defense. If the Saints do anything else I would be pissed. |
