Per Pancakes.
While I feel bad for Brice, I am very excited to (hopefully) see Brandon Harris in the nickel role. I really feel as though he can excel there, very quick and fluid hip movement. _________________

Pancakes trippin if he thinks McCain was having his 2nd consecutive good season.
Hate to see McCain gets hurt, but this is Harris's chance to finally show why we picked him in the 2nd round. Love him playing on the inside.
Back to McCain. He is a FA after this season too. If Harris plays well in the remaining regular season games plus the playoffs then McCain could be gone. _________________

The 610 text said possible return for the SB, does that mean we used out IR exception on him? If so why?!?!?! _________________

Why not? If the IR exception would only have him back by the Super Bowl, it means that using it after this point would make it impossible for a player to return by that point. And the fact that we're only using it now is indicative of the lack of anyone else who we could feasibly use it on before this. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |

My guess is that he won't go on the IR, he'll just be inactive on gamedays. _________________

This, Harris looked good in the action he got. The worst part is that it means more playing time for Ball _________________

I'm hoping we just promote Eddie Pleasant. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |

I'm hoping we sign Kirk Morrison. Bills just waived him. Between he, James, and Ruud we'd have a good smart veteran group at ILB. Not too mention Morrison's experience against Brady. _________________

Routt seemed to get victimized in KC as a #2, but he may not be too bad in terms of depth. And because he's still got his fat contract from the Chiefs, I believe we could sign him for very cheap, correct?
Other names that stand out to me are Bodden since he played for the Patriots and Alphonso Smith. From what I remember, Smith has off-the-field issues that contributed to his exile from Detroit. He is a playmaker, but in the mold of Asante Samuel which equates to giving up big plays trying to bait QBs and getting burned. |

Pancakes just tweeted that we are bringing in Routt for a tryout tomorrow.
I wouldn't mind him since he won't be coming here as a starter, but for depth. Not to mention he is a former UH guy. _________________

I'd love to see us give him a chance. I only saw him play in Oak, do you think he could play ST? _________________
