That all not going for a FG on the first series of the game messed up the chance for the record for 2nd most points in a season. Although he probably wouldn't of made it anyway.

Quote:
Patriots finish regular season 12-4. 12-0 when they rushed for 100-plus yards, 0-4 when they rushed for less than 100 yards. Balance a key.

And have a bye week.

I remember when the Patriots kept Francis on the roster out of pre-season and no one understood it... he is really starting to play well, just in time, especially with Rob Ninkovich probably out for the season.

Finally Bolden gets carries.

The curious thing about Francis was that people spoke glowingly of his practice performance but when I saw him in the pre-season games he looked dreadful.

He has definitely made the most of his chances lately though. He and Deaderick have both looked good the last few weeks.

To be fair, Francis did look absolutely terrible in the preseason games. Always a second late off the snap, plodding and not getting any pressure whatsoever.

That phrase dates back to at least the mid 80s.

I think whoever made one of the Dolphins GDT's last year used it in the title.

I remember in Super Bowl XXXI we went in with 'Whack the Pack' and 'Jambalaya'.

Go ahead and ask me about Jambalaya.

Nevermind the fact that it's mainly because they run like hell when up big. It's very chicken and the egg. When they CAN run they do and it works.

Deaderick played more snaps than Kyle Love the past 6 games.

I wonder how much of that is due to Love being a little banged up at times and how much is Deaderick out-performing him.

Deaderick has been noticeably better than Love IMO. I haven't seen much from Love this year to indicate that he's taken a step forward developmentally, whereas Deaderick seems to have gotten a little better.
