|
|
|
Im going to give this a go. Im looking to update it through out the coming weeks so please leave some comments. Genuine if at all possible. Thanks. Im trying to do a realistic mock here, not what I wish. What I think is realistic and possible.
COACHING:

CUTS:
Tommy Kelly
Richard Seymour
Darius Heyward Bey
TRADES:
Rolando McClain to Pittsburgh/New England for 2013 6th round pick
RESTRUCTURES:
Carson Palmer
Darren McFadden
FA Signings:
King Dunlap, OT
Sammie Lee Hill, DT
Brad Jones, LB
Mike Jenkins, CB
Keenan Lewis, CB
DRAFT:
Round 1--
With Kelly and Seymour leaving, we leave significant holes in the middle of our D Line. Sammie Hill, Bryant, Bilikudi, and now Star form a good, young DT rotation.
Round 3--
I look for Oday to take the starting position over soon. I like him and Veldheer as bookends for the next decade.
Round 4--
Personally I think Pryor will have the most success somewhere other than QB in the NFL and Dysert is one of my favorite mid round QB prospects. He can sit behind Palmer for a year or two and hopefully take over in 2015.
Round 5--
Curry Trade
Round 6--
Marc Anthony is solid value here in the 6th round and can come in and compete for PT right away and serve value on ST.
Round 6 (McClain trade)--
Quan might be gone by the time we pick here but I hope he isn't. I love his potential and I hope he drops into our laps here.
Round 7 (Murphy trade)--
Love Michael Mauti as a player and his injuries hopefully drop him here to us. He can take it slow and hopefully blossom into a nice player for us down the road.

Absolutely beautiful. Would love for this scenario to happen _________________ If the Raiders don't trade back at 3, I want Fisher, Ziggy, or Star. |

Quanterus Smith in the sixth round would be a really nice value pick. I've heard that he's going to fall in the draft because of concerns over his knee but I'd be more than willing to take a flyer on him in one of the later rounds. _________________

Do you guys think that with thy roster we could run some 3-4 looks?
Houston-Star-Shaggy
Wheeler-Mauit-Jones-Burris?
I like the D line but the linebackers I don't in a 3-4 I like Burris better as the middle with Jones in a 3-4 and someone like Lawson on the outside worth Wheeler. _________________

nope not at all.
d-line sucks, I don't think Star is a good fit for a NT in a 3-4 maybe in a 1-gap 3-4.
And those linebackers are atrocious. _________________

Sammie Lee Hill would in my mind work as the 3-4 NT. _________________

yeah a line of
Houston - Hill - Lotulelei
would be much better.
still lacking two starting outside linebackers though. _________________

You don't think Wheeler would work? I just don think we have the assets to run a true 3-4.
I like a 4-3 of

Seymour is a FA. wish people would quit 'cutting' him in every mock.
Oday is a 2nd round pick.
Dysert is a 3rd at the worst IMO.
I don't see Quan lasting lasting that late even with injury.
Love the Norv hire. _________________

I've seen some sites project him as an 7th-UDFA type of prospect now because of the injury. _________________

| Love the Norv and Star scenarios, Mauti too. I'm just not convinced Star will be around if we pick later than 4th or 5th. If Star goes off the board, we trade back for the best CB in the draft. |

Star is just a run stopper. He'll do nothing to help he passing game. |

Would Kyle Long or Brian Winters be more realistic in the 3rd? _________________
