I think that the Brass that is searching for a coach will get the one they want. Its not like a few years ago when no one wanted the job. I think that if they want Lovie they will get him, same goes for Chip Kelly, Ken Whisenhunt ect. ect.

Brian Billick showed interest, and was assembling a staff. Always pissed me off that we never even interviewed him.

I wasn't really a fan of Billick at the time. But if you told me who we were going to hire I would have warmed up to Billick more.

He was my top choice last time. A lot of it had to do with the fact that he was successful with a team built similarly to ours - average offense more built towards the run and strong defense - although the Ravens were a better team overall.

Anyhow, with the way things are shaping up, I'm really hoping for Lovie Smith. I think he'd be a great fit, especially if he brought Marinelli, and brought in a good OC (Norv Turner?).

How many are we having today? apparently Chip Kelly and Lovie Smith either have or are going to interview today.

That's good. It's good for that program and it's good for the players that stuck around for him, and it's also pretty good for his image IMO.

They're saying the only reason he is still there is because neither team would write the buyout check.

He also got a pretty hefty raise.

In any case, I'm glad he's still there.

He can thank the Buffalo Sabres owner for that one lol.

high-level PSU sources have told me that a $1.3 million donation is to be added to O'Brien's salary in the coming year that will bump his total compensation to $3.6 million and place him behind only Ohio State's Urban Meyer ($4.3M) and Iowa's Kirk Ferentz ($3.8M) as the third-highest-paid coach in the Big Ten

Tim Graham said it. He has been saying Whisenhunt before interviews even began. He seems to think it is a done deal. No one thought Chan would of earned the job. Everyone thought the front runner was Frazier.
