Mike Francessa is running with it. On one hand, it makes no sense because Pettine is Rex's right hand man. On the other hand, Pettine might have his eyes on Rex's job. Wow. This team is a circus.

I don't understand this. Does Rex not have the ability to pick who he wants to run the offense? Is he a Co-HC with Sparano who was chosen by Tanny? How would Woody help?

I always thought he was overrated, I can't stand him. Think of every negative story that has came out on this team, most of them are started by him with his "sources". Hes aiming at getting a more national job, that is why I have a hard time taking him seriously because he wants these big scoops.
And anyways, if this is how Rex feels he has the right to feel that way. Why would he want to stay with a team that does nothing to improve this awful offense? He can't win with them. I don't believe in giving the HC GM powers, but I want Tannenbaum fired, get a football mind at GM. Get a better OC, a veteran QB, add some pieces on offense, fix the old LBs, and our team could be back in the playoffs next season.
