I voted for Bailey. The man has been so clutch for us it's remarkable. Several games were won on HIS foot. This year he set the record for most 'clutch' kicks in franchise history. A mark that took another kicker 9 years to achieve took him 2.

I think if he hadn't got hurt Lee would have been top 3 - hard to value him with the injury

I am the 1 the voted for Carr. To me it came down to 3 players. Spencer, Witten, and Carr. Romo was easily our most important player, and Dez was easily our most explosive. The thing is Romo had way to many interceptions this year. For the amount of control he has in whether we win or lose, he has to put up great numbers to be considered our best player, in an 8-8 season. As you can see, he still gets consideration even with the 19 interceptions. Dez was our best player for the last 8 games. I chose Carr over Witten and Spencer. I think all three were the best players we had this year. Witten had the well documented start and Spencer didn't play in 2 games. Carr, I believe, played lights all year. Even when he was completed on, he was usually in good position. I think he turned the game in Cinci, and obviously Pittsburgh. I think he was a great coach for our secondary, I think Mo will turn into a better player because of him, and I think he even helped coach Jenkins a little bit. When the secondary did struggle it was never really the corners. Even the ATL game. I know about the Scandrick play, but we were getting burnt all game long over the top from safeties. I also think our safeties would have been exposed more if Carr wasn't around. As good as Mo played this year, it wasn't the rookie or our horrid safeties who turned around our dreadful pass D from last year.

Top 3? Try #1. He was playing insanely well, but he did only play 6 games. I've got no clue where to put him.

Also you can't be serious with Church in the poll over Claiborne, Sensabaugh, Austin, or just about anyone else, frankly.

Ya im confused as to why church is on the list as well. I liked what i saw, but that was so limited action that im not even thinking about him at this point.

I like to see hatcher being recognized. He was our best defensive lineman. Im not sure if this is his spot to be voted in, but he should be voted in very soon.

Is there someone you were planning on voting for right now over everyone else that Church is taking up the spot of? If not, I refer you to rule 4. After, I refer you to rule 3. Austin will be the next individual added to the list.

No, I wouldn't have voted for anyone that wasn't an option, I'm just saying this board's Church love is kind of insane. He played 2.5 games and didn't look bad. Why would he deserve to go Top 20, much less 5th?

[Shrugs]

He is one of ten options. In five more spots or so I could see him getting traction - now though, I really don't see what the issue is. If you don't want to vote for him then don't.

I am always open to suggestions as to who to add, I am thinking Miles will be on the next poll.

Im with them. I think Church could be the most odd addition you could have made. He played like 1 full game.

Carr is likely my vote this round. Going to be hard next round - but I can see a case for Ware or Claiborne among others... Might need someone to convince me.

I voted for Carr because he was one of the very few players left on the defense that was holding the team together. I don't think his worth was as slap you in the face obvious as a player like Spencer, but I think he was even more important because he and Claiborne gave the D-line + linebackers all day to get to the quarterback (and even then they really didn't get home very often). He also made two very important, game changing interceptions in back to back games vs Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh. If he didn't intercept those passes, it's very possible that the Cowboys could have lost both of those games and been out of contention the rest of the way.

Maybe I'm just happy that I didn't have to watch the Dallas secondary get trampled this year Wink
