Adrian Peterson said it is a shame none of his offensive linemen made the Pro Bowl with him. He will be bringing them there, he said, but that won’t cover the loss that center John Sullivan reportedly suffered by not making the Pro Bowl. Sullivan has $500,000 Pro Bowl escalators built into his contract for the 2013 seasons and beyond, but, according to 1500 ESPN, those also apply to his 2012 season.
He is a first alternate, but that won’t help him get back the lost money if he gets to the Pro Bowl by one of the other centers dropping out.

I think the fans should just pick the starters. Then 20 players based on stats.
9 players by coaches. The last player should come down to a vote like mlb |

No fans shouldnt be allowed to vote. They should do it more casucally, have a fan vote just for show and throw it out, while only allowing reporters and coaches to decide the pro bowl spots.
I dont understand why there even has to be a fan vote. just throw it out. |

No fans shouldnt be allowed to vote. They should do it more casucally, have a fan vote just for show and throw it out, while only allowing reporters and coaches to decide the pro bowl spots.

what about if fans weren't used to vote for the participants, but WERE the ones who voted in an instant online thing for the MVP's of the game and such...?
have several categories of winners.

I would have no problem if the Pro Bowl players were selected by the players/coaches.
... THEN have the fans, based on those players, chose the starters.

Adrian Peterson will be heading to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii and he said Monday that he plans to treat the game just like any other. Peterson said that he’s going to go full speed whenever he’s on the field.
Peterson: “I’m going to play hard. It is hard for me to play down because when you play down you put yourself in jeopardy of getting hurt going through the motions. So I won’t be playing down.”

Sullivan lost $500,000 because of the sham that pro bowl voting has become. Its not a big deal to me, its not my money. But I think Sullivan was quite upset that a benched center made it over him. |

Linebacker Chad Greenway will get his second trip to the Pro Bowl, replacing Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware. Greenway finished second in the NFL in tackles with 148, and he has led the Vikings in tackles for five straight seasons.
Greenway joins Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, defensive end Jared Allen, fullback Jerome Felton, and kicker Blair Walsh in this year’s edition of the game.

The Detroit Lions announced on Tuesday their long snapper, Don Muhlbach, has been selected to the NFC Pro Bowl team. Cullen Loeffler, 31, said earlier this month he will attend the Pro Bowl as a guest of his teammate, place-kicker Blair Walsh. He hoped to be added to the roster, too.
Unlike other positions, long snappers are chosen by the team's coach, which this year is Green Bay's Mike McCarthy.

Still its a game for the fans. Let them see who they want to see. Contract incentives can written however the teams/agents want, they don't have to include the Pro Bowl. |

| The fans want to see a player who was benched (Saturday) before a team's playoff run. I am sorry, that isnt appealing to me. |
