Jurecki: Michael Lombardi Interested In Cards

Per Mike Jurecki's twitter, NFL Network analyst Michael Lombardi is interested in becoming the team's next general manager, should the position become available. Lombardi doesn't have a particularly strong track record in his time in the front office but he's well respected in the industry and could build a solid supporting cast IMO.

Jurecki went on to suggest that Steve Keim remains the most likely candidate should Rod Graves be relieved of his duties.[/u]

If Whisenhunt is fired, I have a hard time seeing Graves stay on board. I cant think of any GMs that have stuck around after letting go three head coaches (McGinnis, Green, Whisenhunt). That being said, I would rather see this team promote from within. Keim has done a good job and would be worthy of promoting.
