This is a game between two beaten-down, disappointing teams. The only thing on the line now is pride. A top-9 selection is already locked up, and if we lose we have a shot at a top-3.

Oakland's keys to victory:
-Offense: Get the run game going. Goodson and Reece have been very good in limited action this year, and they really need to be given more touches this week. McFadden has been able to pop out a couple good games, but has been more disappointing than anything. We need the other two to carry our offense this week. If we can get the run game rolling, whoever is playing QB just needs to protect the football and convert on 3rd down.
-Defense: SD's run game is flat without Mathews. The RBs we held to 32 yards on 20 carries in week 1 are the same ones we will see Sunday. That means all we need to worry about is Rivers, although that presents a hefty task. If we cant pressure him, he will eat us up. We have to be on top of our game on defense to stand a chance. If we let them score more that 20 points, I dont see us having a shot to win.

San Diego's keys to victory:
-Offense: Protect Rivers, let him do his thing, and hope he doesnt make mistakes. They arent likely to get much help in the run game, but they have beaten us before on Rivers' arm alone.
-Defense: Shut down our run game and they win- its that simple. If, at any point, we are relying on Leinart or Pryor to carry our offense, its already too late.

Damn, I sure picked the wrong game to buy tickets to. I bought them so long ago, that there was still a chance we could at least be playing spoiler. Now I'm going to SD and relying on Leinart - this will not be fun.

I'll be in SD...for NYE. Leinart will likely start.

The more I've thought about it, this is essentially Pryor's rookie season. Last year would have been his senior season at OSU and it was basically time to work on his mechanics and working under center. So if Pryor sees little time its not the end of the world. He'll be back next season, Leinart won't. Ideally I want Pryor to get plenty of significant snaps. All the games he was inactive could lead to him not being ready to start. But Allen wants to see what he can do eventually by having him suit up the past 3 games.
