Biggest things working in our favor for retaining Cox are his injury issues and the amount of FA CBs.

Yea, thats the only good news about all of his injuries. I'd hate for him to go and then be a beast like we all know he can be when healthy

Trade a 3rd/4th for Flynn.
Trade #33 to let's say, Miami, get their 3rd and 4th, possibly swapping 2nds as well.
Now you have an extra pick, which you can still use to get a QB to groom [something Caldwell hints at] and allows you to cut ties with Flynn/Henne once you get "your QB."

I personally think Matt would be a perfect fit with you guys and would be a steal for the reported 4th round pick. Anything lower than that would be highway robbery. His contract really isn't nearly as bad as some speculate and I think he can be a top 10 QB in this league if given the opportunity. Gus Bradley wants a safe, efficient guy and he's already familiar with Flynn. I see him excelling with Shorts and Blackmon if he does end up there.

To be fair I could excel with Shorts and Blackmon so it's not a ringing endorsement. They are the GOAT wr tandem
I'm gonna go back and watch more film on him but, his arm is just so meh.

Agreed, he certainly doesn't have ideal drive on the football, but I think it's better than say a guy like Matt Barkley. In the intermediate game he can actually squeeze it into tight windows, it's the deeper balls that float on him. He matches that with some unbelievable deep ball accuracy, however. I think he could be a better version of Alex Smith who was just traded for a 2nd.
