At 6-5, 320 I would tend to disagree with Bilukidi being any sort of tweener. |
Thought he was around 300?
Just checked, he was 290 on draft day but around 310 now |
Raiders have him listed at 320. It was like that for most of the season. The 290 comes from the Georgia State football site. He is way bigger than that. And unlike high school NFL teams aren't in the habit of fudging the weights.
The Raiders did a good job of bringing him along slowly this year and not throwing him to the wolves too early. And we should see even more of him this year now that he has proven that he can play at this level. Especially with no more Seymour. He was really coming on late in the year. |
Still says 290 on NFL.com. Just saying. Thats why I said what I said. _________________

Saw that too. I'm assuming its the same weight they used for him for the draft (from pro day weigh in perhaps?) _________________ If the Raiders don't trade back at 3, I want Fisher, Ziggy, or Star. |

No idea. I'm still surprised Raiders.com has updated itself since Bilukidi's pro day or whenever he weighed in at 290 _________________

When I saw him play in the preseason, all I could think of was that he could add like 15-20 pounds with his frame.
Shaggy - Starlite - Bryant/Bilukidi - Houston.
Thats with cutting Kelly, Seymour's contract is up, and resigning Shaggy to a mid-sized 2-3 year deal with incentives.
Even if we don't draft another defensive lineman, we still have Carter, Crawford, etc. Maybe we could sign a decent FA rush specialist, and our line could be much improved. _________________ If the Raiders don't trade back at 3, I want Fisher, Ziggy, or Star. |

The problem with that group is we are playing two LDE again. Yes, I understand the theory behind having a "3rd down rusher" but this is a passing league and teams are throwing more and more on 1st and 2nd. until we have a true RDE that can get pressure with some kind of regularity, we are going to struggle imo. |

+1
Houston, Shaggy, and Bryant would benefit from Star's presence, but the question is how much? I really like Star. I would be happy if we drafted him, but would his presence be enough to free up the rest of our guys to make up for the lack of a real pass rusher? _________________

No wonder peeps are calling Bilukidi a tweener. I wondered where that came from. I don't see penetrator in his game. He could be NTotF. I've only seen 320lbs _________________ 2013 Mancrush: DT Richardson, OT Joeckel, FS Vaccaro, FS Rambo, WR Dobson, RB Michael, TE McDonald, OT Foketi, WR Swope |

too many holes already. bring Shaggy back to do what he does best, set the edge and let Carter, who really came on at the end of season, replace him on passing downs. The Raiders don't have a ton of picks or options here, folks. _________________ 2013 Mancrush: DT Richardson, OT Joeckel, FS Vaccaro, FS Rambo, WR Dobson, RB Michael, TE McDonald, OT Foketi, WR Swope |

Star in my opinion is the cream of the crop this year. However, it will be much easier to grab a productive DT later in the draft then a pass rusher. This is the best DT class I have EVER seen. Moore and Werner are not my favorite players, but if we're not trading down then they or Jones (assuming Allen/Tarver envision a Von Miller like impact) have to be the pick. |

imo, star is 34 de a la Ngata (but not of the same quality of course). I'd rather have jesse williams for less yet more accomplished in a tougher conference. easy. _________________ 2013 Mancrush: DT Richardson, OT Joeckel, FS Vaccaro, FS Rambo, WR Dobson, RB Michael, TE McDonald, OT Foketi, WR Swope |

Like I said I love me some Star, but there's plenty of DTs I'd prefer much later. I see Stars ceiling as less Ngata more Haynesworth (minus the crazy part) |
