| Just wanted to know if anyone knew why he hadn't played much. I'm not an Eagles fan, but I've been trying to keep up with him some this year. Haven't seen his name show up in the box score often, so I just want to know why he hasn't seemed to be playing much this season. Thanks for any info. |

Only started to play recently (since Babin was cut) but has looked good. No sakcs yet, but getting penetration a nice amount. _________________

Was taken as a BPA with no [plans to really play him. Just kind of fell by the wayside and didnt get playing time as washburn favored his veterans.
Had to fire washburn to get graham more PT and Curry any. _________________

I loved him pre draft. He and Graham were two players that I really wanted for the Jets in the past. I hope to see them have some success in Philly. _________________

Vinny Curry has brought a positive energy to the defensive line, he hustles and is a positive as a run defender. But as a pass rusher, he's been underwhelming. I noticed early in the pre-season that he wasn't turning the corner well, he hasn't shown the elite edge flexibility that you look for. Combine that with his relative rawness (he won with hustle and ability in college) and you've got an underwhelming pass rusher. He should improve as he gets stronger, gets more technically proficient and learns some tricks of the trade (i.e. setting up his pass rush moves). _________________

Basically...
1) Washburn's wide-9 uses a heavy rotation
2) Washburn didn't let him on the field
3) Babin released
4) Washburn forced to use Curry into the rotation
5) Curry shows promise and hustle
6) Washburn fired, wide-9 and it's rotation gone
7) More traditional defensive front employed
More playing time for Cole and Graham (starters)
9) Curry still fighting depth chart _________________
