This was posted in another thread...I forget where.
I feel for Sparano...wasn't given much to work with in NY. Wish him the best though. Maybe a few years ago this hiring would have worked out
side note: Sam Bradford looks much better in Schottenheimer's offense than Sanchez has ever looked /sigh _________________

Good. Hate Sparano and don't feel for him at all.

I would feel bad for Sparano, but he's routinely made ridiculous decisions when it comes to personnel and in game strategies. I've never seen a coach orchestrate an offense that struggled to get the right personnel groupings on the field as often as this group.
He absolutely 100% should be fired. |

| Hardly his fault the Jets offense has been so woeful, and I think it's clear he didn't exactly ask for Tebow. But the Jets are going to be going through some major changes on offense soon and I don't trust him to be the guy to develop a quarterback and take on a more progressive approach that I think we should be taking, so fair enough. |

Only the Jets could hire a guy that is as bad as Schotty.
Can we PLEASE get an offensive guru with a proven track record? Is that too much to ask? _________________

Sparano was good in Dallas.
The Jets have high school talent on offense.
Even the lowly Raiders, Jaguars and Chiefs have better offenses. _________________

Lets the OC handle the O, Rex handle the D and big in game decisions but stay away from the system _________________

I like the Jets but omg I would laugh soooo hard if this happened. Anything to get him away from Denver. What a plug. Everything Miami fans ripped Sporano for is ten fold the truth for McCoy. I swear this guy will punt on 1st down someday, just give it time. |

Agreed. I don't think it's all Sparano's fault, but the Jets and Rex Ryan should've known that they needed a passing game coach/coordinator similar to the structure Parcells had in Dallas (Sparano passing coordinator, Haley running coordinator) |

Schotty's play calling was either very good or very bad. Sparano's was never really that good, it was never as obvious as Schotty but whatever it was it was conservative. Also his handling of Sanchez/Tebow was pretty terrible and it was an on going problem for him. It seemed as though right when Sanchez got hot he would pull him.
Also in Dallas Haley was also calling the shots and it is clear Haley is superior player caller to Sparano, I think he was the dominate figure in that offense. _________________

Question why the love for Mike McCoy? I hope its not because of this season because nearly all of that I gotta credit to the fact Peyton Manning is QB in Denver. |

He's great at molding his offense around his QB. Look at his body of work with Orton and Tebow, who both enjoyed career years under McCoy. I want to bring in a QB-oriented head coach and have that kind of atmosphere. Look at all the successful offensive teams in the league and look at who's running the ship there. _________________
