Figured it was past due!! Time for a thread dedicated to the new Playmaker!
Dez Bryant is in full on beast mode!!!
- 7 straight games with a TD
- 4 multi-TD games
- 5 games 100 plus yards
- Career high 224 yards in a game (with a bust finger)
- Currently sits at 1,311 yards (with 1 game to go)
- Currently has 12 TD's (with 1 game to go)
- Currently has 88 receptions, averaging 14.9 ypc
And is 24 freaking years old!!!!!
This kid has had a hell of a turn around. The domestic arrest, dropped passes in previous seasons, poor route running, immature acts at the mall. Many where writing him off and calling for him to be cut or traded. Now take a look at this young guy!! Boy has he turned our heads and just WOW!!! We are watching this young kid grow up before our eyes. It's just amazing that plays that this kid makes! Truely amazing the performances he has put up this year.
Props to you Dez!!! I like what I am seeing!!! Excellent job!!!

And just imagine if he would have caught the 2 point conversion against Baltimore and moved his finger an inch inside the line against NYG....
This kid has become a joy to watch play. Brings alot of heart and soul to this team that its been lacking for a long time. _________________

If he puts up 1500+ and 15+ next season I could see it but at this point he's had a bad half and a phenomenal half season. Too early to crown him _________________

He's always had the ability to be one of the best WRs in the league. So happy he is now putting it all together. Looking forward to seeing the rest of his career in Dallas (should be a very long time). _________________

I don't think he's on the cusp anymore, MH. I think he's turned the corner and has gotten there. You can see it in his game now. I firmly believe the proverbial light bulb has turned on in his head. Well, the one on the field, anyway.
To be honest, I can't think of too many other WRs in the league who are head and shoulders ahead of him. In fact, I'd put him in the top 5 in the league right now, and that falls in the elite category in my book. _________________

Agreed.
Some might say that he has played elite in ONLY the second half of the season. To become elite, he needs to do it for an entire season.
I personally think his play has fully justified calling him elite. _________________

You really don't have to tell us. Dez sent Plan9 and me a Holiday card for the DCRA's support when others were so quick to give up on him. _________________ Quote from May 7, 2013...

Luckily, for the forum, I was able to scan the autographed card that he sent me...
