| I thought he would go PHI because they have more offensive weapons and i though he would want the bigger market |

Same. Maybe Philly wasn't very high on him. |

| RapSheet Lot of questions about the #Eagles search now with Chip Kelly close with #Browns: Heard they weren't as high on Chip Kelly as many thought. |

Reports out that that Bill Belichick recommended that Chip take the Browns job and not the Eagles job. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Less pressure in Cleveland?
Or more to work with?
Big call by Belichick. |

Belichick has ties to Cleveland and not Philly, but that is the only thing that I can think of.
Plus Philly fans are absolutely brutal while the Browns are appreciative fans. _________________

That has to be it.
Also, who would want to be in the NFC East?
RG3, Manning Lite and Romo.
Not a fair start.
Then again AFC North isnt much better, Dalton, Big Ben and Flacco. |

Per Schefter, no deal was reached yesterday between the Browns and Chip Kelly and Eagles officials are currently enroute to Arizona to interview him.
Schefter still thinks Cleveland's the favorite but unlike KC, they weren't able to keep their man from leaving town. _________________

Lunch with eagles today... Then dinner with the browns again...
Kelly said he would listen to other teams that wanted to meet, something that he didn't do last year when Tampa pursued him.
Browns have a very young team... Needs the QB of Kelly's choosing and a few more weapons. _________________

Per Mort and Schefter, Ron Rivera is safe in Carolina. They're now turning full efforts towards the GM search.
Might not last long term though. Having a coach forced on a GM has resulted in a couple firings as of late, Lovie Smith being 1. _________________

Rumors was they were interested in McCoy if Rivera was fired. _________________

That would make sense as McCoy had success with Tebow and Newton is way better than Tebow _________________ Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

In a bit of a curveball, Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Bears will intereview Marc Trestman for their head coaching vacancy. Trestman is the coach of the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL.
Pretty clear they're going offensive minded. _________________

The Browns have told Ray Horton to prepare for a second interview. Cleveland will target Horton if negotiations with Chip Kelly break down. _________________
