Reports out that that Bill Belichick recommended that Chip take the Browns job and not the Eagles job.

RG3, Manning Lite and Romo.

Not a fair start.

Then again AFC North isnt much better, Dalton, Big Ben and Flacco.

Per Schefter, no deal was reached yesterday between the Browns and Chip Kelly and Eagles officials are currently enroute to Arizona to interview him.

Schefter still thinks Cleveland's the favorite but unlike KC, they weren't able to keep their man from leaving town.

Per Mort and Schefter, Ron Rivera is safe in Carolina. They're now turning full efforts towards the GM search.

Might not last long term though. Having a coach forced on a GM has resulted in a couple firings as of late, Lovie Smith being 1.

In a bit of a curveball, Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Bears will intereview Marc Trestman for their head coaching vacancy. Trestman is the coach of the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL.

Pretty clear they're going offensive minded.

The Browns have told Ray Horton to prepare for a second interview. Cleveland will target Horton if negotiations with Chip Kelly break down.
