I really think Hardwick will retire. He was on the fence before the season, and my guess is that this year beat any life left in his career.
That would leave Gaither, Harris, Molk, Troutman, Haslam, and Schilling as the OL with a contract for next year. So, without any changes the OL would look like
Gaither-Schilling-Molk-Troutman-Haslam
Sadly, I think that would wind up being an improvement |
I think we need to sign Vasquez and move him to LG, Troutman to RG, draft Lewan, maybe a tackle like Ricky Wagner late and sign some vet RT for cheap. Unless Levitre is available, then you just go get him.

Gaither won't be on the roster next year. The dude has burned his bridges with his teammates.
Best case scenario is if we somehow get Lewan and Aboushi. Lewan, Schilling , Molk, Hadnot, Aboushi at least gives us a shot at getting good.
Clary returning for yet another debacle needs to be avoided. I don't care if we end up signing McMichael to start at RT it's an improvement over Clary.

Gaither's salary is guaranteed next year. I can't see Spanos giving somebody $4.5mil to go make money somewhere else.

I know it's just Acee but with that kind of ill feelings, money or not I don't think he will be brought back. We gambled and when he wants to play Gaither is a mammoth. It's just he is lazy beyond Jawalrus levels.
