Oh. The one where Big Ben was hurt and unable to play well? The one where a large part of the Steelers defense was hurt? The one where Ryan Clark was a healthy scratch because he isn't capable of playing in Denver without dying? That one?

Oh I didn't know that was Tebow's fault and his personal accomplishment should be diminished in that game. It's the NFL and injuries happen. The Steelers still had the #1 ranked D.

I mean, yeah, some CFL team would give him a shot 'cause the media attention...people outside Saskatchewan might even care about the CFL for a while!!! Wow!!! Shocked

It'd probably be the Edmonton Eskimos. They've got the running game for it. They traded away their 'franchise QB' to the Argos...who then went on to win the Grey Cup.

The pieces are set!!!

Tebow to the land of -40 degrees...where he will... end up frozen to the ground in a Tebow pose and be forever immortalized as a monument to kneeling on the ground when it's stupid cold outside.,

Hilarious. Sig worthy stuff right here.

Did I say it was Tebow's fault? The defense that played that day was a shell of the defense that earned the #1 ranking. Let's not make it out to be something that it wasn't. He beat up on an injured defense. Even Chad Henne did that this year.

It was a nice game, but it needs to be put into perspective. It wasn't some super great performance that only a good/great QB could do.

See, this is the issue here. It's ALL about Tebow when most of his success in his stint as starting QB in Denver was attributable to a defense playing out of its mind to make up for his shortcomings during at least 75% of the game and Matt Prater who nailed numerous GW field goals.

Fact is that "the Tebow play" to win that game was as flukey as it could be. It was blown coverage by a guy who shouldn't have been in the game and it was poor discipline by a team that thought so little of Tebow that they didn't even think to defend that play. Get any kind of adequate pass there to Thomas from anyone and it is a touchdown.

I'm not trying to take it away from Tebow - it was still a great clutch play that he made, for sure, but there was a lot more going on there that attributed to that win and if this season has shown anything, Tebow was holding them back. The remarks from his former Denver teammates this year, particularly Thomas, have indicated that they were relieved to go from a guy who can't play over Sanchez and McElroy to one of the best QBs ever in Peyton - even when it was uncertain if this Peyton would be the same as the Peyton from 2010 and prior.

Okay, but that's not really fair either.

I mean, 'holding them back' relative to a surefire HOF quarterback who is probably one of the greatest of all time?

Yeah...most QBs will hold a team back compared to that. Not that Tebow is a great QB or even a good one necessarily...but that's a pretty ridiculous comparison to make. By that standard...all but maybe 2 or 3 teams are 'held back' by their QB.

Tim Tebow + Chip Kelly = championship?

Timmy can't run Chip's offense...he can't throw it, and makes terrible reads...oh yeah, also can't read a defense. So no.

He sure was able to read Pittsburgh's defense in the playoffs with their #1 ranked D. POW

The one where the defender slipped and Thomas did the rest?
Yeah, I'm sure thats the one you mean.

No I mean the one where he gutted the Pittsburgh Steelers D all game with several 20+ yard passes totaling 316 yards and ending it by throwing a strike to Thomas which hit him in stride, allowing him to make a play to win the game. POW

Not the one where he got his doors blown off in the next game?

You mean the one where the defense gave up five touchdowns in the first half to which no team could possibly overcome? You mean that one?

I guess its hard to give credit where its due

So...his defense can't stop anyone....but he also can't move the ball, still makes it his defense's fault? Gotcha.

It wasn't even a comparison. I never said he was holding them back compared to Peyton (that's not what the comparison between last year and this year was meant to do). I said he was holding them back. Period. He was holding them back compared to Matt Flynn too if that helps.

Besides, like I was saying, his teammates were relieved he was gone. That's a huge red flag. Even if they were getting Peyton Manning to replace him, sure that helped, but you have to put it into context - at the time, no one even knew if Peyton would be able to play like his old self.

Blackmon is smart.

Jags are better off sticking with Henne.
