Interesting stuff, hopefully they don't take someone just to take someone. Don't need our own JaMarcus Russell or anything. _________________ Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Obviously less if possible but that's what I think they'd take. |
You haven't seen Josh Freeman play this season I take it? _________________

Does anyone else think Barkley is going to slide and drop like Brady Quinn and Jimmy Claussen did? I can't see him going early like Ponder unless we get desperate and decide to take whoever is available with our pick without moving. _________________

I hope he slides right down to our second round pick. |

Depends how Geno, Glennon & Wilson rise before the draft. Some are saying Glennon could be first QB off the board. _________________

He had a bad game against New Orleans but he is also 6 years younger and not going to be 32 next year like Rivers.
Rivers is getting old and has been a turnover machine these past 2 years so it's hard to see why we should go after him especially if we are going to give up a bunch of draft picks. _________________

Sorry, you mis-read me. I'm not comparing Freeman to Rivers, I'm simply saying giving our first 3 picks for Josh Freeman is laughable. _________________

Its rookie or bust for me.
Everyone else will cost to much to acquire. |

kind of off topic but i saw on the official website that next years schedule is pretty hard:
HOME
Indianapolis (Andrew Luck!)
Carolina (Cam Newton!)
Houston (Arian Foster.)
Atlanta (Roddy White?)
NFC North team that matches Cards spot in 2012 standings
and of course, St. Louis, Seattle, San Francisco.
AWAY
New Orleans
Tampa Bay
Jacksonville
Tennessee
NFC East team that matches Cards spot in 2012 standings
and, of course, St. Louis, Seattle, San Francisco.

I'm not saying it's not an overpay but I'm also not someone who values draft picks.
I'm usually the first guy who says high round picks are overrated because of the bust and expense rate.
Hell if I was a coach I'd trade down almost every draft.
Josh Freeman has stolen my heart. He has issues but I'd salivate to have him and I'm not saying I'd be thrilled to lose our first three picks, but I'd be okay with it.
Tampa drafted him fairly high so it's not like they'd give him to us for much less. _________________ Legends Never Die. They Breathe Through The New Generation.

I think the Bills, Cards, and Jets will all be going after him. Of these 3 teams, as long as the Jets don't get him, I'll be happy! _________________

I've seen him mocked to Buffalo lately. Not sure if that's just matching a player/team need or there's more to it.
Unless Buffalo beats the Jets (which is very possible) we're picking behind him. The other teams with 5 wins have much weaker SOS's...
If Detroit wins they'll pick after us. If Oakland wins it'll be close. Before this weekend their SOS was .469 and ours was .543 (OAK is playing SD, DET is playing Chicago).
The highest we can pick is 4th but a lot has to happen... _________________
