Let Albert walk as an UFA and take Joeckel. That'd be my guess. |

I can see this with them taking a QB in round 2

What did you all think about his performance? I only caught a bit of it |
It was a solid performance, no doubt about it. Little worried about the velocity though. |
Yeah thats was caught my eye on his throws was the lack of zip on them. |
He rips it when he needs too. He was also playing in 25-35 MPH winds in that bowl game. |
Ill take your word on it. Maybe it was the wind that played a role but his throws looked like the floated with what i saw |

That would be great for us for a number of different reasons. Don't see it happening though. KC already has a good Tackle they should keep him. _________________

Maybe. Or they save a ton of money by not signing Albert, they use that money to sign other players at positions they desperately need and if Joeckel turns out to be as good as everyone thinks they actually upgrade at LT too. |

Eg I guess but they're not hurting financially. Dorsey is gone and cutting Cassell/Jackson will save a ton. Even if they re-sign Bowe they can easily afford Albert. I hope for our sake they let Albert go. _________________

I dunno, I'm not even sold on taking Geno at this point. His bowl game looked pretty blah and I think he would need the year of coaching in order to be a starter. Picking a QB that high, I'd want someone who is going to be good from day 1 to start.

Ya but cutting those players opens up 2 more holes that Kansas City will need to spend money to fill. |

They can replace those positions by a fraction of the cost. Tyson Jackson alone has a 17M salary next year. _________________

If only the Chiefs actually freed up 17 mill by cutting him him. But they don't. They free up about 9 and with starting 3-4 end salaries sitting around 4-5 mill, you've saved about 4 million by cutting Jackson and that's IF you sign an average player for right at last year's market value, which has disadvantages and may not even be done. It might not be what Kansas City even wants to do, especially since you already floated Dorsey as a possibility to leave as well and losing 2 starting ends in 1 year is certainly not a glorious idea. |
