So many people on other sites, or on my facebook news feed, are commenting about how Saturday "isn't actually getting benched" and that "it's because of Saturday's injury." It's almost as if people never actually read the comments from Saturday himself, that state that he's been benched in favor of EDS.

I feel bad for Saturday too. It can't be easy for a guy to be a backup now after being a starter all these years. The good thing is if EDS struggles we still have an experienced back up going forward this season.

I wonder if he regrets his decision to come to Green Bay.
He's having the Jake Long problem, which is not being fit for the ZBS. Not to mention he's old and has t-rex arms.
Sherrod-Lang-EDS-Sitton-Bulaga and Barclay filling in will sound amazing next year.

Not quite, he had more of man/wrestling style when he played in Indy. Much like when Scott Wells was here. |

I disagree. This might be the only system in the NFL Saturday could start in. This is not a system issue. It's an age issue. I'm sure Saturday is a bit upset about this decision. But let's be real here. That man is well paid. Saturday "gets it" from a business POV, I'm sure. Just the way it is in the NFL. At some point your going to be fired or unwanted. Why I never have an issue with players trying to get theirs. Loyalty and money mix about as well as oil and water.
