| I really like the positions that you hit. Jordan is beginning to grow on me, he plays well in space for his size. Gillislee is the kind of back this offense needs, but he's right there on the 3rd round for me. |

Positionally, I like it for the most part.
I am not a fan of RB in the 2nd, but admit there is a chance it could happen. HOWEVER, even if we do take one, it better be one more talented than Gilslee, who IMO isnt worth a top 100 pick. I can think of many more backs Id take over him.
Dion Jordan...like the position, not a fan of him. Not terrible, but his size scares me. Even dismissing that, I dont think he is first round caliber. Not sure what peopel see in him.
Phillip Thomas...dont know much.
Andrew Jackson I really like from what Ive seen.
Dont know Foketi or Hoffman.
Carder in the 7th is a very nice pick. _________________

Jordan would be exciting. I just believe everyone is far undervaluing him, and that we hardly have a chance at him. _________________

I was going to go with CB Jordan Poyer over a RB but I went with RB
If I went with CB I was going to note that the Steelers sign a FA RB and not draft one.
Dion is very quick off the edge and has very good cover skills in space
We need pass rush but as much as we have been asking our OLBs to drop back IMO he will excel at it.
Thomas very solid safety with a knack for getting to the ball
Foketi was a OT at Kansas and had an extra year left (red shirt Sr) went on to play at West Texas A&M Very good athelite that has good footwork and hands.
Hoffman 6-3 WR very productive around the end zone |

DE Dion Jordan is not a 1st rounder to me, not even close really. How is a guy who only has 5 sacks a first rounder? His 10.5 TFL's is decent but only one pass defensed, and 44 tackles is just "okay", no interceptions, no forced fumbles, he's a 3rd or 4th round guy.
RB Gillislee is probably a 3rd rounder also but I wouldn't have a problem taking him in the 2nd if he is really a guy we want. Personally, I think we can get an RB just as talented as Gillislee in later rounds. It depends on how fast he runs, if he is under 4.50 then his value is going to rise.
Love S Phillip Thomas but I don't think he'll be available in the 3rd round.
NFLDraftScout has ILB Andrew Jackson's draft year as 2014? |

The Steelers could take Dion Jordan, but I'd prefer they look elsewhere first. Yes he can drop into to space, but it's resulted in any turnovers. It be one thing if he was getting PDs, Ints, but he isn't getting any of them. The Steelers need a defensive pass rushing specialist, because dropping into space in the Steelers defense is a learned trait. I'd like Dion Jordan if he was a double digit sack player that didn't drop into space, because at least he'd be good at some thing. _________________

Playing injuried. That's why dion jordan only had 5 sacks. If you ask any scout, they will tell you Dion Jordan still is among the best pass-rusher in upcoming draft, his techniques benefit him more in nfl than it does for others due to his size.
That being said if he ever get drafted by the steelers his impact will be felt. We can play cover 2 more natural and timmons get to keep his Joker role because dion jordan is the guy who can cover tight end very well. His statistic may not show it but look at tapes, his presence improve teammates' performance. |

You're right, stats mean absolutely nothing. No one on here should ever mention them again, wins/losses, trophies, rings, it all means nothing. I suppose you see every play of every college game then? Oh, and you know the play that was called so you know if the player did what they were supposed to do? If so, what NFL team do you work for then?
Dion Jordan is playing injured? Was he injured in '11 too? He had 7.5 sacks then, which is good but not really exceptional. James Harrison has just 4 sacks this season in the real NFL and we're all talking about replacing him.
If I ask any scout? Uhh, who here talks to scouts? We're all amatuers here, every single one of us. |
