I don't get how you can go from fighting for a roster spot to a player that regularly sees the field. It's amazing to see what McClain has done in his little time here. I hope he is for real because he could change our defense. The guy is only 24 and he is having a great year. It's refreshing to not see Owens or Franks mess up. I see a guy who plays much bigger than he is and knows how to take advantage of situations. Do you think we have a diamond in the rough? Or just a one year wonder? _________________

I think that the back half of this defense has all of a sudden grown to something great. Even with the loss of Grimes, this guy comes out of no where and plays like a boss. Our safety's are playing like the best tandem in the NFL. Our linebackers have a certain swagger that I've never seen in them. The only place I really wish we were playing better was on the defensive line. It's easy for the line to make the secondary better but it's pretty dang hard for the secondary to make the line better. Same situation on offense. But I think we've found some real diamonds between McClain and JacQuizz. _________________

He's been awesome this year, but let's see if he can keep it up for more than one season.
I still think a CB should be added this offseason, whether it be via the draft or free agency. If Grimes is re-signed, then that would be even better IMO. Samuel and Grimes on the outside, Robinson at nickel, and McClain at dime. We'd finally have four reliable CB's and depth at the position. _________________
