It's 14 national championships for Alabama against 11 national championships for Notre Dame. Besides for Princeton and Yale, those schools have the most championships.
For older people, this game means even more. These teams have only played each other six times in the past.
Tradition is what makes the cheapest ticket for resale $941. Just for a standing room only spot.
Old white guy football? Yeah it's not consistently 40+ points. Not fun for people used to watching their teams light up the scoreboard. But it has worked for Alabama and this year it has worked for Notre Dame.
I wouldn't make college out to be a bunch of rich white kids just partying and I wouldn't stereotype the entire student body at Alabama or even other universities. Sure there are a lot of kids like that. But there are also a ton of kids that give back by volunteering in many different ways.

B60 seems to generalize college students wayyy too much.
When I finish college, I plan on opening a power plant that supplies cheap electricity to homes using recycled waste. But yeah, I'm just a "rich white college student who will never give back to the community"
