Now we need teh Chargers to fire Norv Turner and we'll be in business.

Just curious did you see the Norv Turner led offense yesterday? Was it the 223 total yards or the 2-12 3rd down that was so impressive? If you didn't have a walking sack QB yesterday those numbers would probably be worse.

Yea Norv's luster certainly has fallen off a bit. I think we're so starved for some kind of offensive performance we'll take just about anything.
Norv has a fantastic resume...let's not try and sell him short. Troy Aikman, Philip Rivers, Trent Green, Brad Johnson...had a hand in making Kerry Collins, Alex Smith, and Gus Frerotte look competent. He could probably make Sanchez look competent at the very least.

How do you assess that based on the season they've had...?

What if ken wisenhunt was fired by Arizona and was willing to come to New York as OC. Thoughts?
Good call, didn't even think about him. He's definitely someone I'd love to go after. If we did end up getting him, I'd probably be in favor of draft a 1st Round QB. Most likely Tyler Wilson. Although I'd love Tyler Bray in the 2nd.

What's with the love for the [inappropriate/removed] qbs. Bray makes horrible decisions regularly and Wilson is not very good. I dont want to hear about a bad cast of players. The fact is people can not preach about Sanchez having to make everyone around him better and then we draft a kid who could not do it.

For as many reports that have said Whisenhunt is out, there are just as many saying he's got another year because the Cards are too cheap to fire the most successful coach in franchise history, pay his salary and another salary...so really, I'd give it at least a week after Black Monday before Whisenhunt becomes a consideration.

WE NEED A GAI THAT'S TALL WITH A BIG ARM. DON'T U UNDERSTAND?!?!?!?!?!?

No, but seriously, I agree...I don't want to draft a QB if we don't have a chance at an elite prospect, which there supposedly are none.

There are plenty of good QBs in this draft. Wilson, Jones, Bray, Glennon, and even guys like Smith, Barkley, Nassib and even Murray. There's QB talent in this draft, just not at the Luck/RGIII level.

You mention Barkley, but not Dysert. Laughing

Unless Geno or Wilson falls to us, I think we should wait until rounds 2-4 to take a developmental QB. Whoever we draft there should probably sit for a couple years.

It'd be kinda odd to hire Clinkscales back. Didn't he just leave?

Yep. Left after the draft to become Oakland's Director of Player Personnel.
