Looking forward to a breakdown of what happened since I was unable to watch the game. Sounds like it was a good week to miss. _________________

Hard to pinpoint one issue with this game. No one came to play. Our offensive line looked terrible, particularly the right side. I think our defense ultimately played well enough to win us the game if our offense had done anything.
I hate that we have to try and win in Indianapolis now to secure the first seed. This game probably ranks among Kubiak's biggest coaching blunders of all time, and that's saying something. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |

Indianapolis is locked in at the 5 seed, me thinks.
Could be a gift from the heavens if they sit their starters. _________________

All the talk the past few weeks was about it being a blessing that the Colts had the Texans in week 17 because they might rest their starters.
Funny how things play out huh? _________________

sorry about today's loss, but might as well get one like that out of your system and get fired up for next week.
you'll be fine. _________________

Don't mean this in a mean way, but good luck trying to find one in next year's draft. Let's face it, we arent going to go QB early in a draft unless Schaub completely suck in a season or an elite QB (ala Aaron Rodgers and Packers) fall to us when we pick. I am still a Schaub supporter and we have to face it. What you see with Schaub is what you get. Besides, I blame this game on Kubiak more than Schaub anyway. _________________

There's plenty of blame to go around, but I don't think we can place too much of it on our offensive line. The right side is a joke.
After years of not trusting rookies to do anything on offense, Kubiak suddenly entrusts the entire right side of the line to two marginal NFL talents? Newton is weak and unathletic, Harris is completely inept, and Ben Jones has steadily gotten worse since finally replacing Antoine Caldwell.
Schaub isn't great, but just like he shouldn't be counted on to carry the team to wins, he's also good enough to keep us from losing if the rest of the team will do their damned jobs. The other side of this same coin is that the staff didn't make adjustments on blocking assignments at half-time. The obvious key to stopping this running game is beating the tackles to the B-gap. New England did this to us, as well. If beating this offense is that simple, then the entire offensive coaching staff needs to go and we need to bring in a different scheme.
Additionally, I think the defense played all right. If the offense had done ANYTHING, I think they played well enough to win. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |

Oh definitely. I would say our defense played very well. We held AP to under 100 yards and under an avg 4 and ponder didn't do anything special either. The defense stepped up when it needed to and made plays to give the offense a chance and they didn't do anything with it. I mean we were 1-11 on 3rd downs and the vikings had the ball so much if our defense played badly this game would have been alot worse. _________________

Any thoughts that our defense played well is highly mistaken. We shut down 1 of 11 guys. And forgot to cover their 2nd best viable offensive weapon in Rudolph. _________________

No, I'm not mistaken. They weren't great, but they played well enough for us to win. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |
