Javon Walker was on two different teams between the Packers and the Vikings. Including him on your list is questionable.

Montgomery didn't even make it out of camp.

Half your list is flawed, and saying Favre tarnished his rep by going to the Vikings is a reach. He had arguably his best statistical season ever in 2009. If anything his stop at the Jets did more to hurt his rep.

Lyon also barely played for the Vikings.

anyone remember the year we almost snatched Kampman with that offer sheet. Man that would have been sweet. I was really hoping that was going to work.

I find it ironic how Gilbert Brown has such a legacy as a Packer and that is so important to keep, but the Packers actually snatched him from the Vikings.

okay that's ONE player!! Haha Wink it would bother me seeing Greg going to you guys, but I really don't know how much more he has left with his injury problems.

Injuries will be a concern, which could devalue him a bit. Especially if Bowe and Wallace hit the market too.

To be fair, he made your active roster a grand total of 0 times. He was unwanted by the Vikings, not like they couldn't afford him, he showed up to camp too fat and they cut a 3rd round rookie. Almost kind of similar to the Javon Walker deal, there was very little to no Packer connection left when you guys signed him, we didn't want him and you guys were in a spot where you needed a WR quick. Obviously the Packers and fans still want Greg Jennings.

Let's get back more towards the topic, rather than nitpicking about whether someone has a relevant Packer or Viking connection or not. That really makes for uninteresting reading for most around here...and rather pointless.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I want to stay away from Jennings. He's almost 30, and his career has been on the downswing for a few years now. He lacks the explosiveness of his earlier years, and would not be that deep threat we're looking for. Someone like Mike Wallace is a 100% burner and 3 years younger. True deep threat. Jennings plays comfortably in the slot, and Percy or Jarius will be that guy next year. Jennings gets simply no separation against CBs on the outside. We've all been a little awe-struck because he has done some spectacular things against the Vikings. There have been some jaw-dropping catches. But take it from a guy who has had him on my fantasy team for 2 years in a row now: he's not the same Jennings and it's frustrating to watch him play. There's a real reason GB is letting him walk.

Jennings gets plenty of separation on the outside. His game was never really "explosion"

He ran in the low 4.4's which is still pretty good, but he's been the quicker than fast type of receiver that runs good routes. That's how he gains separation. I will give you that he looks best in the slot.

The real reason(s) that GB is letting him walk is because he's going to command a decent payday and they have things called Nelson, Jones, and Cobb.

Yes, we are in the minority. I'm on your side, that of staying away from Jennings. But, I don't want Wallace either.

Perhaps Jennings ideal fit is Miami, after all. Though, I think both Wallace and Bowe will want to go to Miami as well and I would guess that Bowe and Wallace may be more appealing for more teams.
