Yes, and also it is the 4th time it has happened to the 49ers.
Happened with Joe Montana and Steve Young in 1988 and 1990 and also with Steve Young and Steve Bono in 1991.

yeah... I've been thinking that this is closest to when Montana replaced Steve Deberg. But that's just me.
