I wouldn't be mad at that.
Goldson is actually the fa I wanted most last season.
He is still close to the top of the chart for me this season as well. There is a nice group of guys though that could slide in a be a huge help to our team. I expect us to grab at least one big name fa. _________________

I like him too but we keep running into this problem that we all want these unproven guys.
We have had some mixed results with that process before. There will be some big name DC on the market this offseason. I hope we fire Sherridan QUICKLY and get on the hunt and find THE RIGHT GUY this time _________________

The organization would have some inside intel on him because they hired Eric Stokes as Director of College Scouting in May. Eric spent 12 seasons in the Seahawks organization. |

How else do u find a coordinator these days? Veteran DCs are extremely hard to find. It's best to find a great assistant that's under great coaching staff. Richard and Tomsula will definately be got commodities in the DC market. |

Richard is a Pete Carroll guy. I think we'd be hard pressed to try to sway him away from his old coach. We'll see though - he developed Sherman, Chancellor, and Browner into some studs. |

Jim Tomsula, Pepper Johnson and Bob Sutton are the 3 guys that I hope we go after if we replace Sheridan. _________________

Hard to tell since all his coaching history was in the Europe League but I think after the Nolan era in SF they were building towards the 3-4 and would've set them back further if they tried going back to the 4-3 under Singletary and no reason to change it when Harbaugh got there. _________________

I have a bad feeling Sheridan will be retained, under the premise of giving him corners to work with. God help us all. _________________

Sheridan wasn't their first choice in a shallow pool of candidates IIRC. I don't think there's much reason to keep him around given this is the worst pass defense to ever see the NFL. _________________
