There are also several teams that will be inevitably making changes at coordinator regardless of whether the head coach goes. Jets offensive coordinator Tony Sparano might be the poster boy of this group. He has been shredded on national television with great regularity for the lack of direction in New York's offense, and indeed the Jets have seemed rudderless and devoid of an identity much of the season. Add in the Tim Tebow circus and Sparano's support for Mark Sanchez following Greg McElroy's win over Arizona, and there is no doubt that whatever happens to head coach Rex Ryan, and whatever happens to general manager Mike Tannenbaum -- who could very well be let go, sources say -- Sparano looks like a one-and-done in the Big Apple (Tannenbaum is his biggest supporter, sources said).

No surprise there.

Good. I hope we get a QB guru in here to work with someone that we draft.

I honestly figured everyone could be fired in NYJ. Then the new GM and HC can build his staff and scrap what he doesnt want(which bad OC I assumed would be included).

I think Tannenbaum and Sparano are absolutely gone. Mike Pettine has declined an extension and I think he might get a HC job this offseason. The new GM will probably decide to can Rex. Mike Westhoff has already said that he's retiring.

Yeah. Change is coming.

You're going to hire him as HC if you want that, or Norv Turner.

I called this at the season's beginning but Jets fans didn't want to hear it. Tony Sparano isn't an offensive genius or a head coach - just a fantastic OL coach who is out of place as anything more.

He'll get hired as OL coach by somebody and do a fantastic job.

Did anyone see this signing ending well in the first place?

I never understood why the Jets hired him in the first place. Hopefully they actually hire a competent replacement.

They wanted to go back to "ground-and-pound" but their o-line is adequate at best and they have no good running backs. I don't like Sparano as a coach, but it's hard to cook something nice when you don't have the groceries (corny and cliche analogy, I know).

As a Dolphins fan, I'm not a fan of him but it wasn't Sparano's fault that the running game didn't work or the Sanchez was Sanchez.
