Meanwhile Bowe will get an incentive deal. I said Bowe will be the better value because of similarities I saw between Jennings on the Packers and Javon Walker on the Broncos. EVERYONE wanted Javon Walker after the season he pulled in Denver. The Raiders weren't wrong for wanting him, they were wrong for paying him GOAT type of money. |
and the similarities are what exactly? They both include a WR for the Packers.
aaaaand that's about it. |

I agree. Jennings is in our division so we play against him twice a year. I've never seen anything at all that would indicate to me that he's lazy. Other than the injuries I can't think of anything to complain about with him. He would be a great addition to any team. _________________

Surprised how misguided this thread is. Jennings is work horse of a premier talent. That guy has done nothing but busted his butt and went on Sundays and made great plays.
"He benefited from talent around him"
No he didn't .. talent around you doesnt help you jump 45 inches into the air and grab a ball one handed and bring it down with 3 guys on you.. which Jennings has a history of doing. Hes just been making plays week in week out. Dont know where people got some of these ideas from. _________________

I cant see him returning, I just dont see a spot for him at the salary he is likely to receive on the market. Nelson, Cobb and Jones are still a top notch trio and surely the Packers will add another WR early in the draft.
He could take #85 from Greg Childs to play on the Vikes |

Obviously very likely he's gone, but by all accounts he really does love it here. If there is a club friendly option that he is welcome too, I can see him being retained. Just depends how open he is to taking a cheaper deal. He's really not worth what he will get on the open market at least recently to me. Hasn't been healthy and even when he has hasn't been the Greg most think of when they hear his name. It's intriguing to say the least. With every week he under performs and someone steps up to get us a win, I see the odds of him coming back slightly increasing. _________________

| Are teams really going to be real eager to shell out $10/year to a 30 year old WR who has just over 200 yards and an 8.8 ypc this year? Not to mention the recent injuries... With every game he under performs and drives down his value he gets closer and closer to staying in Green Bay IMO. |

The who made who debate between WR's and QB's is always funny to me.
I think its pretty obvious that QB's make the WR.....im curious to see how Jennings does out on his own though. _________________

To clear up the 'lazy' thing:
Jrry was defending Alshon Jeffery and said off the cuff Greg Jennings is lazy to make a point that he could look at a player and say something ridiculous.
MNPackman22 has taken this to a silly level and used this against him, w/o (perhaps conveniently) taking the context and the joke.
He made a post in the Packer forum citing the thread, where other Packer fans said, "Yeah so." and has continued to use it, and now it has even affected a thread.
Sorry man, just keeping it real. Jrry doesn't deserve to be thrown down for your lack of ability to comprehend. _________________

We can't afford to have an aging, injury-prone (lately) receiver eating up a good chunk of our cap room when some of our key guys are due extensions either this offseason or next offseason. Clay Matthews and Aaron Rodgers are going to need their deals extended sooner rather than later. _________________

Then add to the fact that Thompson can find receivers in the draft like stink finds a skunk and it equals Jennings not coming back to GB. _________________

Then Raji the following year and I am thinking that Shield gets a nice deal too with his play this year. _________________
