What are everyone's thought's as far as the top 5 positions we need to improve on? I say top 5 because I am assuming we will address at least one starting position in fa and possibly 3-4 starters/contributors with our first four picks.
I would rank them:
1 - Corner
2 - Corner
3 - Rush end
4 - Free safety
5 - Te _________________

1)QB
2)QB
3)QB
4)QB
5)QB
That is the real top 5 needs...but to play devils advocate:
1)Corner-No Brainer
2)Free Safety-Barber wont play forever..might even get bumped back to CB in the offseason.
3)Defensive tackle-For those putting Defense End in the top 3 needs, I do not understand why. We have Micheal Bennet who is good, we will have Adrian Clayborne coming back....and oh ya we also have Dequan Bowers who is improving. If we had another good DT to line up next to McCoy our D-line would be ELITE.
4)Tight End-Dallas Clark looks good, but we need a stud TE plus Clark is old. Almost every good QB in the league has a stud TE to go with him.
5)Center-I been saying this for a while but Zuttah sucks and after this season he will be moved back to his Center spot. I have no clue why they ever put him there, he was never good at it. I just feel like our O-line would be so much better with a real center.
Honorable Mentions:
Outside Linebacker:For depth reasons. When Black got hurt it made me realize that we have no good depth...Hayward is OK....sometimes. And what if we would have Foster or David go down? Who would replace them? That is a scary thought to think about.
#3 Wide Receiver-I dont know about this one, Underwood seems to be improving his game and looks like he has yet to reach full potential, but getting there. But just in case he is not someone who can help us out, I would pick up a WR to throw into the competition
Defense End-Once again only for depth purposes _________________

I would love another monster dt no doubt but all of our ends are workers/maulers. I love Clayborn and his style and think he will be a 9-11 sack per year guy for his career but he runs over guys. I want a guy who can consistently beat their guy around the corner with some speed. A rotation of Clayborn, Bowers, Bennett and Jordan would be dangerous. Both Bowers and Bennett also give us the option of moving either of them inside on passing downs. _________________

1 CB-2 for sure. FA and draft.
2. QB I'm sure u all know where I stand with freeman.
3. DE/OLB- Padd rusher. Whether its inside standing up our outside de. Need someone with speed to pose a threat.
4. DT - depth. We lack it.
5. Rb: Martin needs someone to take the load off so he won't wear down.
5b. RT: Dotsons been good but needs competition. |

1. CB 1st round + someone decent in FA
2. DT 2nd round. Someone who can help Mccoy out. Miller is not bad, but he is not good either. This would be major help creating pass rush
3. FS Ronde might not come back this time
4. RB Blount doesnt fit in this offense
5. DE I think Bowers and Clayborn will both make huge improvments during off-season. Both will have 10 sacks next season |
