It's not that bad. The cut saves us $3M in cap space, and at 34, his career is almost over anyway. If they are moving Sean Jones into his spot, then this is a good move. Since we are rebuilding, younger players should be the way to go.

Crocker and Jones might make a great safety tandem, and it's best to get them experience sooner rather than later.

$3million seems a bit pricey for Griffith, he did have a decent year last year (unlike the year before, when he missed about 100 tackles) & was a good leader, but not too many safeties are worth that kind of cash.

It's time to move on to the younger guys, I think... But I kinda wanted him to just retire a Brown...
