5 Yard slant from Ponder, the ball was thrown a bit ahead of him and he had to extend his arms for it. Defender pulled down on his arms and knocked it loose. _________________

Agreed, I think having Wright around could potentially make a decision regarding Percy Harvin more interesting. He can essentially play the same position and has been. Wright isnt near the player that Harvin is right now, however, you can see that he does have potential to be a good player in his own right. |
Yup, I wouldn't care if we moved Harvin at this point. If Spielman's first draft is any indication of how he will draft for the future, the picks we acquire for Harvin could be more valuable. _________________

Id be more confident in making a deal if the Vikes could land someone in free agency like Bowe or Jennings.
I am confident that Wright can be a good slot WR in the NFL. He probably wont ever be as good as Harvin, but he doesnt have to be if MN can add a Jennings i FA and hopefully another early round WR in the draft.
Youre looking at having an extra 2nd rd pick at the least to add an extra player at DT or LB, when the team already has a (what I think) competent slot WR in Wright. |

| We'd have to hit pretty big on a draft pick for him to be as valuable as Harvin. Maybe he'll force our hand but I won't feel good about it. |

Harvin is really being underestimated here.
Even if we get a good FA WR, I still dont want to move Harvin.
Wright been nice, but doesnt mean I wanna move Harvin for less then a 1st round pick. 1st round pick not offered, then you dont trade him. Pay him. _________________

You can pay him, but if he doesn't want to be here what's the point? _________________

I really, really like what Fred Evans and Kevin Williams did in this game. _________________

Taking away the 20 and 21 yard runs by AD, here's how our running game stacked up:
Peterson: 23 carries, 45 yards
Gerhart: 8 carries, 31 yards
Ponder: 7 carries, 48 yards _________________

Agreed, if Harvin has frustrations with the team, why pay him handsomely to remain long-term. That seems counter intuitive to creating a winning atmosphere.
This game showed that Wright can be an effective slot WR. I am very impressed with Wright's route running, he seems very crisp in and out of breaks and seems much more natural at it than Harvin. I think Wright has more potential as a down field receiver than Harvin due to his skills as a route runner in creating separation, but obviously Harvin is in entire different universe as a YAC receiver.
It will be interesting what happens with Harvin, but strong performances from Wright will create more options instead of being forced to potentially overspend on a player who may not even want to be here. |

Frustrations with the team likely have a big portion to due to with salary.
Of course there could be other reasons. But a bigger paycheck solves alot of problems. _________________

Back to Game related stuff:
I still noticed that Ponder still overthrow WRs in the medium range 15-20 yard throws. Also he did have a couple poor passess that he got away with. I cringe alot when he releases the ball _________________

Look at AD's numbers today, then look at his numbers vs. 49ers.
25 carries, 86 yards, 0 TDs, 1 win _________________
