I would love to have Long on this team. If anything, that gif sums up our pass rush. Everyone but Abe gets stonewalled on that play.
If we got Long our only other major need is DE.

Jake Long, Michael Johnson, and Mendenhall/Bush would be all interesting possibilities IMO. Johnson's a super good all around DE that's racked in 8.5 sacks so far for the year, and is a good ol' southern boy. I'm almost intrigued more with Bush than Mendenhall because of the potential, but I think Mendenhall gives you a more consistent presence week in and week out.

I'm just not seeing a lot out of Osi anymore. Hes not the great player he once was.
I don't think he would turn us into a superior front 4. He may just be a slight upgrade over Biermann at this point next year.

None. This team needs to start building the team through the draft and not trying to make FA splashes every year, or every other year.
Only FA's Id like to see signed is either a backup DT or LB, which ever one we dont address in the draft. Maybe a third/fourth RB to compete for a spot with Smith, and a vet TE to compete with Palmer, but big splashes like Long, Bush, Osi, etc..... No thanks. I want to be the Steelers, Packers, or the Patriots.

Honestly, we didn't make a FA splash last year. Asante came though a throw away pick. I agree thst we need to have a successful draft. We have rarely used anyone we drafted last draft except for Konz. That signals a bad draft so far. I would like to see some veteran leadership at LB and Oline come in here tho because I don't know if where we will be picking will allow us to get top talent worth that pick at those two positions.

I disagree. main;y because the draft was a ton of guys who needed a season to develop outside of Konz and Ewing...
Peter Konz - plug and play C or RG.
Lamar Holmes - developmental LT
Jonathan Massaquoi - developmental DE/LB
Bradie Ewing - plug and play FB
Charles Mitchell - ST and backup at both S spots.
Travian Robertson - rotational DT.
