http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000109895/article/donte-stallworth-on-patriots-ir-deion-branch-to-sign

Quote:
The Patriots placed Donte' Stallworth on injured reserve Tuesday after he suffered a high ankle sprain on his 63-yard touchdown reception against the Houston Texans on Monday night. A team source tells NFL.com's Albert Breer that the Patriots will sign Deion Branch to replace Stallworth.

Branch will be on the Patriots' roster for the third time this year. Pretty unfortunate for Stallworth after that beauty of a TD grab.

So, technically, Brady to Stallworth is going to have perfect QBR for the whole season. And people said he was washed-up.

That didn't last long...

Thought they should've signed Branch from the beginning, but wasn't he not healthy or something?

Its a shame stallworth got hurt ... really wanted to see some more of him.

I loved him when he was on the eagles.

He looked pretty good to me, even if it was just one game. Just saying.

Even so, Stallworth is still miles faster than Branch Laughing

Rather have a healthy Branch tho, he has great chemistry with Brady and knows the offense well.

Compared to what he once was, he was slow....if he was really, really, really slow he wouldn't have scored Very Happy

We released him he had a hamstring issue.

I feel for Stallworth busts his butt to get back and get the chance somewhere and injured on a nice play.
