Cut/Not Resigned
-----------------
Michael Griffin Very Happy
Eugene Amano Very Happy
Lavelle Hawkins
Jamie Harper
Javon Ringer
Leroy Harris
Jonathan Babineaux
Dave Ball
Leger Douzable
Keyunta Dawson
Jarius Wynn
Will Witherspoon
Xavier Adibi
Ryan Mouton
Deuce Lutui
Al Afalava
Quinn Johnson

Resign
--------
Fernando Velasco
Rob Bironas
Jared Cook

Free Agency
--------------
Adams didn't get Manning last season but he has shown he wants to win now. Bud will finally pony up some money for some good players. Letting go of Griffin and Amano save us money as well
Also the 90% spending floor goes into effect this season.

Michael Johnson DE - Cincinnati - Played with Morgan at Georgia Tech. Had 11.5 sacks this season.

Andy Levitre OG - Buffalo - Got to retool the OL. Having Munch and Bruce on staff should help entice him here.

William Moore SS - Atlanta - We've got to stop the carosel of people at SS. Sign Moore and stick with him.

Draft
--------
1. Sheldon Richardson DT Mizzou - We need someone to pair with Casey to really give us a boost. I line of Morgan-Casey-Richardson-Johnson would be stellar.

2. Larry Warford - OG Kentucky - I think Hutch is done so Levitre takes his spot and we bring in Warford to take over for Lutui.

3. Eddie Lacy RB - Alabama - CJ isn't exactly the guy who will run over people at the goal line. Ringer hasn't shown much and Harper is a bust imo. Lacy also has good hands out of the backfield.

4. Andrew Jackson ILB - WKU - I think he'd have more hype if he went to a bigger school. Regardless, we need LB depth and he could be a good one.

5. Marc Anthony CB - California - You can never have too many DB's. Played very well at Cal and provides depth/ special teams help. Could be our next great CB find.

7. Denard Robinson KR/WR/RB/QB - Michigan - He won't play QB in the pro's but he is a great athlete. A good OC could definitely find a spot for him. I envision him being a poor mans Antwaan Randel El.

QB Locker/Hass/Smith
WR Britt/Wash/Wright/DWill/Preston
RB CJ/Lacy/Robinson/Mooney (FB)
TE Cook/Stevens/Thompson
OL Roos/Levitre/Velasco/Warford/Stewart/
------
DE Morgan/Johnson/Wimbley/Solomon
DT Casey/Richardson/Martin/Klug
LB Brown/McCarty/Ayers/Jackson
CB McCourty/Verner/Sensabaugh/Campbell/Anthony
S Moore/Martin/Campbell/Johnson

K Bironas
P Kern
KR/PRE Reynaud/Robinson

I don't like starting Martin without seeing him during the season, but he can't be much worse than Griff.

I think this draft would give up one of he best OL's and one of the best front 7's in the NFL.

Like the draft though don't feel TE is a 2nd round need. Also, Kevin Mathews has shown nothing to be considered worth resigning.

Eiffert will go in the first as well. Similar tools to Jimmy Graham and Gronk with better college production.

Don't really know too much about the prospects yet, but my first reaction was eww just because of another TE drafted high.

Imagine if Cook could block and catch everything thrown his way. That's Eiffert.

Lol at everyone who thinks we're really bad now. We're fine. Just under bad management and lacking at a couple key positions. I know this team isn't that bad and isn't even that far behind teams like Houston and Baltimore. I'm looking forward to next year we'll be right in the race as long as Jerry Gray is gone and dead.

The only reason I have us taking him is because I don't think we'll bring Cook back. We need someone who can block AND catch. Even if it isn't Eifert we'll need someone if we let Cook go.

I'm a big Notre Dame fan, so obviously wouldn't complain if we ended up with Eifert (I think he has the tools to be a top-five TE in the game), but we need to fix our pass rush, and I'm willing to go DT/DE with our first 2 picks to make sure it happens. Obviously Star is a popular target on this board, but I don't think we're going to suck enough to make that a reality, so who are some other high ranking DT options? I know all about guys like Moore and Werner as DE's, but who are some DT's worth drafting in the top two rounds beyond Star?

Jared Cook will be on the team next year. If not it will be because they think they're fine with what they got so they won't look to address it early. i still think they'll franchise him

Louis Nix, Notre Dame(if he declares)
Sheldon Richardson, Missouri
Jonathan Hankins, Ohio State
Kawaan Short, Purdue
John Jenkins, Georgia

So we're not taking an offensive lineman in the first 5-6 rounds again? I'll probably kill myself.

Laughing

Good point. We have a lot of aging linemen. It really does need to be addressed.

But we did pick up Andy LeVitre who is a top 10 guard.

Ahh...didn't see that. Still wouldn't mind a late pickup at guard or tackle.
