Hey. I gave advanced warning that arguing with him would be completely pointless. Laughing

Apparently so if you're stooped to totally fabricating allegations to make a point (Vick doesn't study)

And the best tangible evidence you have for Gabbert having more potential is that Vick is aging. That is the same fallacious LOGIC that could be used to assert Gabbert has more potential than any QB that's several years his elder

You can't actually name any actual physical tools he possesses that would lend him to actually having more potential in the forseeable future

He can, but you wouldn't understand.

You should have seen his Tebow vs Luck posts.

It does seem to be a futile endeavor when I'm going up against people who can't actually quantify arguments with facts and the closest thing they have is a fabrication

"Blaine Gabbert has more potential than Vick just because he's younger"

The same logic that could be used to say any young 4th string QB could have more potential than any vet.

He's played a 16 game season once in his career. In 8 seasons that he was expected to be the season-long starter, he has done so once.

And while his turnover rate isn't that high, he has 81 interceptions and 85 fumbles in his career. That, in 120 games. 18 of which weren't even starts.

One would think based on your posts that Vick has had more than one good season.

One would think he has a higher than 58.3 completion percentage.

One would think that his career QB rating was higher than 79.2.

Ben Roethlisberger has played 16 games in a season once in his career
Jay Cutler has only started 16 games once since joining the Bears.

Vick missed one game in 2004 because the Falcons clinched a bye week. He could have played if they had something to statistically play for

In 2005 he missed a whopping one game. In 2010 and 2011 he missed games due to a rib injury. Injury that should not be a concern again considering he now wears a kevlar vest.

Yes he got a concussion this year but on the same day that a whopping 2 other QBs got a concussion. The young and promising RGIII got one this year. McElroy got one last week. Concussions happen

Vick has recently actually been fitted for a helmet that is supposed to dramatically reduce the occurence of one

With technology improvements Vick's chances of injury have actually declined, and so will the decline without being in an Andy Reid offense where he will throw the ball 40+ times a game. Andy Reid's offenses throw the ball more than any team in history in terms of called passing plays.
So you concede all the stuff about him sucking, right?

I concede Vick is not an elite QB.

But the idea of him being a turnover machine is overstated considering his career TD/TO ratio is better than the likes of Eli Manning, Jay Cutler, etc

You can't seriously be this delusional.

You all haven't made a single argument with regards to a tangible factor that Blaine Gabbert possesses that gives him an advantage over than Vick other than his age.

Even the staunchest Vick critics out there when objective if they had a season with their life or career on the line wouldn't choose Gabbert over Vick but I"m delusional

I meant the posts before that.

That's because I don't trust my effort in constructing an argument would be worthwhile considering the lack of logic and blatant biases you showed yesterday when I tried discussing Luck vs Tebow with you. Laughing

" I have an argument to defend my position, I just don't feel like using it"

Really is that what this has come down to?

Well I did ask to be humored to here an argument advanced for Gabbert over Vick

I guess I called your bluff

Why would I teach a man with no legs how to kick a football?

Here's the argument.

Vick has never been a good QB. At this point, it's a given that he will continue to not be a good QB. He also has no chance of sticking around for any long period of time.

Gabbert probably won't, but there's at least a chance he will develop into something good and stick around for a while.
